She only did it because KFed was going to court today to get custody....I hate her it is official...and I thought I would never say this but I hope K Fed gets the kids...seems like they would be better off with him.

How sad... it is all over the news that Kevin told her he would continue to file actions unless she got help. So sad that she could not come to this place herself.. but Who would have thought K-fed to the rescue!!!

How sad that CNN and Fox News are running this as a breaking news story. What a mess she has created for herself..

i dont understand why they are letting all this info leak out, surely they can control what we see of britney? why can't she go to rehab somewhere else? I feel so sorry for her. Her life used to be amazing and now she is this lonely confused woman who has two children, no husband and she has messed up her career. She is a classic case of a child star. Her sons will have their own problems unless she pulls herself together. If she doesn't sort this out soon it will end in a tragic way or she will never be able to redeem herself to the public.

I can't believe that no one has commented here yet. Is it possible that we're actually out of steam on this topic?

I think that she will do it this time for the sake of her kids! Maybe that kick in the butt from K-Fed is what she really needed!

I think some event must have happened to her to cause this kind of reaction, Larry said she went through something traumatic and her dad said it isn't what people think. Britney, please get the help you need!

I haven't read any of the other Britney posts today, but is it true she tried to off herself the other day? I heard it on the news this morning, she tried to walk into oncoming traffic, then she took a bunch of pills.

Only hope it works out. Once again, or people that are saying she is only doing this so KFed does not get the kids, good. If that is what it takes, good. I think many would agree that she cannot commit or make the decision herself because she is probably too sick.

You don't go to rehab for mental problems you go to rehab for alcohol and drug addictions. Both Promises and Crossroads in Antigua treat drug addiction, not PPD or psychological disorders.

I'm not getting my hopes up for her this time. If she stays, good for her. If she leaves, AGAIN, then it just proves that she doesn't need to be in the spotlight anymore.

I think that her problems do stem from being a star. For the longest time she was in everyones good graces, and then she screwed up and married Kev. And then everyone thought less of her. And she read it, and became fixated. I don't think that celebs should read gossip mags. I wouldn't if I was in them. I think that everything positive she saw in herself came from some mag, news article, tv. She was never happy with herself. Just my 2 cents.

I didn't hear about her trying to walk into traffic. When was this?? When she was shaving her legs at the hotel pool?

They need to either hide her completely or stop leaking little things, because that is what is causing all the wild speculation.

x17 has video of Britney going to Kevins house last night. She buzzed him three times but he would not let her inside.

this is just a classic case now of getting everything you ever wanted and still not being happy.Brit wanted to be famous-done,wanted to go out with Justin -done,wanted to get married-done,wanted to have kids-done-and there is still some void in her life where she had to take drugs and now her dad and manager are saying its not what people think!!!thats just a cover up for her selfish acts.

I don't understand why it has to be everyone's business to know what exactly is wrong with her. Her father said she's sick. Let's hope she gets better.

If she really wanted help she wouldn't be going into rehab in LA. There are a lot of other places that are more secluded that would be better at controlling the media b/c they have more space. Also, she seems to just want the attention.

Okay this will be my last post on her if she doesnt stay there this time. Someone institutionalize her ass if she doesnt stay! And its bugging me that so many people think (not so much on here) her babies should stay with her simply because she is the mother..ugh im over it.

There's an interesting article on Esquire.com about Britney. It suggests that maybe she's just really weird and not so smart, and that her actions lack the significance that everyone tries to read into them. I'm beginning (after this week) to think the author may have a point.

Still, if she is having severe problems with alcohol/drugs/mental health, then I hope she stays in a program and gets the help she needs.

Funkyfeet you have a very very valid point about what these treatment facilities are actually for. Not for psychological issues.

I can't believe some people (maybe not at pop but on other boards) still don't think Brit is on drugs. She could have PPD but that doesn't mean she's not also addicted to drugs. Once again for those in the back row, this is from the homepage of Promises.

And every page after that only talks about alcohol and drug addiction. Ugh!!!!

I think the only way Britney will turn herself around is if she actually lost her kids...she shouldn't be able to have any kind of custody unless she gets herself together.

She is most definitely NOT stable, whatsoever.

She may always be her daddy's little girl, but the reality is that she is NOT a child anymore and she should start owning up to her own actions. I want more than anyone for her to be healthy and to make an amazing comeback, but she is just alienating all of the people that were once her fans by acting like her dad says, a child.

I just want to say that on Saturday morning when the shaving incident broke I called this as PPD. It's really unfortunate that people are being so critical when this is obviously a question of her mental health. I hope she stays.

Drug and alcohol addiction are classified as psychological disorders. While she probably has other issues, kicking those is always a good way to start. And, there are social workers / mental help people at these places.

I am with Tisane, I think it is coming down to publicity now. She knows her next album is a flop and the only way to save it is to create this attention to herself.
