I watched this live on Court TV. The whole thing is just so sad to me. All of these people claim to love this woman so much that they're willing to let her body lie on a slab in the morgue and decompose. WTF??

It was so obvious that she loved her son beyond belief. Why would anyone want to keep her from being buried next to him?

He doesn't sound insincere to me! Most judges don't really break down AT all. I am pretty suprised that he did. I think that it's pretty touching, if you ask me. My boyfriend is a lawyer and judges can be pretty detached from their cases and the families involved, they tend not to get emotionally involved. I watched some of the case on CNN and I thought he handled it very well.

that judge was only for the publicity. please! hearing him rant and drag out his "15 minutes" ... you're no Judge Judy. and how unprofessional for him to fake cry or even real cry. He paid to be unbiased and removed from the case. that's why there are judges. to be removed from the drama not stirring it up!

and yes i agree she belongs with her son. it doesnt matter that there is no "anna" in that body. if she had writeen the choice before she died would it matter>? the body would still be without "anna". even as a bystander i can see her love for her kid. she took him to events as her date all the time. my mom and i cant even grocery shop together.

Finally that poor lost soul of ANS can rest in peace. Her life was crazy and her death as well. I just saw Howard and Larry both stand side by side saying she will be buried in the Bahamas. There was no other place than next to the son, she most likely died of a broken heart, to be buried. Lets hope the paternity test is quick and the real father, whom ever it is, takes his role as a father and not a bank.

It's the only decision that made any sense. I think they should exume Daniel and bury them both in CA because that was her home until Howard talked her into moving to the Bahamas so he could control her and the baby's future. Oh my Skinny Fat, we agree! Who knew?! SF, I couldn't agree with ya on either of these issues anymore than if there was a gat at my temple. Seriously, IMO, everyone thinks HKS is the devil while Vergie and Larry Birkhead are simply a mom and the"good bf" who HKS forced out of ANS's life. Me? I think these two are going to be the worse thing to ever happen to that baby.

They want what the kid can provide financially and people have to stop acting like love & protection of DanniLynn is the primary goal. We never even HEARD of Vergie until Daniel died, and from then on she's gotten paid from exploting that one way or another just like Larry Birkhead. HKS hasn't gotten paid a dime apart from the reality show and that was proven, yet he's the bad guy. Daniel Smith was very protective of his mom and I don't think he would have been as close to HKS if he thought the guy was a negative in his mom's life, and I also dont get the impression he was close to his so-called granny, or LB.

Actually you did hear from her mother before Daniel died.. in the background stories about ANS.. they would interview her and ask her about Anna. Being a 20 year veteran of Law Enforcement she would tell you that when her daughter started stripping underage she had a problem with her and when she started doing drugs she had a problem and when Howard became really prominent she had a problem with it. SHe tried amny times to make amends with ANS..but the drugs were an issue and no one was going to tell Anna not to do drugs and still be in her life. That is why her mother wasn't there and that is what drove Larry away (drugs and Howard).

And the mother wants both Anna and Daniel to be buried in Texas where she and other family members can visit the graves. I know that is a novel concept in this day and age but some relatives actually like to go weekly/monthly to change out flowers and visit. I think her mother and Larry are the only level headed people making any sense.

Howard has always been a creep. He was obsessed with Anna. Enabled her drug use. Tried to maintain control of every aspect of her life. Larry said when he lived with Anna and was having sex with her.. Howard would sleep on the couch waiting for him to leave. Just too over the top. Too controlling.

And he knows damn well that is not his baby. That is the real reason they went to the Bahamas..because of the Bahama law about any conhabitating male in the house at the time of birth can be considered the paternal father (what bullsh*t is that!). You think they just HAPPENED into the Bahamas where they had such a conspicuous law? PLEASE!

This is sad sad sad crap! I feel sorry for Birkhead and Anna's mother..they only people who apparently tried to get her help. And I think Howard is unhinged enough to try to make a run for it or swap babies or maybe even killed himslef and the baby when it comes down that he is not the father and they go to take that baby away from him.

I agree with you IMA i think they were the only ones that wanted the best for her while she was living and i hope that the baby is Larrys...BUT, i do think that the right thing to do is bury her with her son no matter where is may be. I'm with IMA. I watched the verdict during lunch hour and it was really weird. He cried while he gave his decision.

Anna Nicole dumped Birkhead when he was pressuring to get help for her drug addiction. She didn't think she had a problem ran to HKS. Stern seems like an opportunistic pusher. If he loved her so much why did he leak the flippin' Clown Video? He sums it all up perfectly when he tells her "this will be worth money"! If he is the father then give up a DNA sample and prove it. A paternity test couldn't be anymore humiliating for him as the Clown Video was for her.

I am glad to see Anna finally being put to rest, but the judge's fake tears and rehearsed choking up (first semester drama majors, you will probably have something like this on your mid-term exam) were just horrible.

I think it would be horrid if her mother somehow got her buried in Texas, away from her son in the Bahamas, away from the home she was starting with her family there. Her mom seems like an idiot.
