With last night, the first eliminations of season 6, the best part of American Idol is officially underway. This year they seem to have lined up some amazing guest performers. Rumors are swirling that Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and even Victoria Beckham may be on the hit show but a few fabulous ladies have recently been confirmed as definite guests. Both Gwen and J Lo are planning on hitting the stage! If we're lucky, we'll get to see little Kingston in the audience to watch his mom. So far this season of AI has sucked me in but with huge acts Gwen on March 28th and Jennifer on April 11th we have another reason to tune in.

I thought that the whole premise of AI was to have the best singer out there and so they put influential, talented and accomplished artists to come out and help the artist...
She's in a different league vocally (not in a good way) and with that established, I don't feel that she should have a say on the vocal performances of the contestants because they obviously have talent.... well at least some of them...lol
Yay for Gwen, although sometimes Im sketchy about her live performances. But Kingston makes up in cuteness what she lacks in live singing.

13I can't stand Fantasia, there's always been something about her that just grated on me. This season looks to be a good one. I'm excited about the guest judges this season, maybe it means that the AI contestants will actually sing more popular music. Steer away from the Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, BeeGee's music and sing more current songs. Then we can find out if they really could be pop musicians. IMHO.
14Ok, Gwen is growing on me a LITTLE bit, and I'm super glad she's going back to her No Doubt roots, BUT, I don't like her style! Annnd...I hate to say this because it's just a way of life, but, she is aging, you can tell in the last pic. But that's ok.

25Yes jennifer is going to be on AI! If you watched Gwens performance, than you shouldn't have a problem with Jennifer performing. Gwen can't sing live, she was really really bad! Well we'll see how Jen does. Wish her the best, the woman has matured vocally so give her a break Geez!
