The video for Avril Lavigne's new single, Girlfriend, is, well, exactly what you might think would come of the entire chain of Hot Topic stores exploding onto MTV. The pre-teen-y nature of the video seems a little, uh, insincere, coming from Avril who has recently talked openly about growing up and embracing glam [0] more than punk. That being said...the song is already stuck in my head.
