Paris Hilton is overseas to follow Benji's Good Charlotte tour, but she's keeping busy, including last night's role as a judge in the Miss Turkey 2008 contest. Before her big night, she talked to the press about being a role model for young women. She said, "I don't pay attention to lies because I am a good person, I work very hard and I've built this empire on my own. I think this is an inspiration for a lot of girls out there." I'm sure it is . . . though there are more than a few things Paris has gotten herself up to that young women probably shouldn't aim for. To Paris's credit, she was a good sport during the pageant when she was dragged on stage to show off her "belly dancing" skills. 24i don't know about being a full role model but you have to admit that she has made an empire for herself so that she' really not going to hurt if/when she doens'tget as much from her inheritance as she thought. i think that she's made a few decisions that girls should not emulate - but maybe that's in the past? who knows.

Lets give her the benefit of the doubt and say for just a second that she even has an empire to claim as hers...to say you built something yourself you would have to go from nothing to something. 1)shes just as much of nothing as she always has been, she just has a few bad reality shows and movies under her belt 2) anything that she created, she created with her families money. Not hers.
If she had of come from where the rest of us did and become "Paris", thats one thing. But using her name and families money to create this so called empire...that's just ridiculous.
