The winners are in and they look like they are ready to celebrate! Congrats to Marty who finally took home his long overdue Oscar. It was great that his highly respected peers came to give him his big award. So fitting! I think this year it is amazing that an out of nowhere American Idol contestant has become an Oscar winner. On a side note, Jennifer Hudson looked more stunning on stage performing than on the red carpet. Congrats to all the winners!

6i LOVE that martin scorcese won (i even watched it twice)! it was definitely his time. although i wish leo would finally win one, i'm also glad that forrest whitaker won. both his and martin s.'s speeches were so humble and truly sincere...how can you not love them?

16Hmm... J Hud had a third dress for the press room? That stuff may fly at the Grammys or the Globes, but not so much at the Oscars. She all that just yet. I honestly believe that while one Oscar nomination is great, it doesn't mean squat about your abilities, even if you do win. Follow up your first film with a strong career, then we'll talk about having multiple costume changes.

18I am delighted that Forest Whitaker and Helen Mirren won. And I am so happy that Martin Scorcese finally got an Oscar. He is a genius.
I was disappointed that Djimon Hounsou didnt win Best Supporting Actor for Blood Diamond, his performance moved me to tears. Alan Arkin was good in Little Miss Sunshine, but Djimon deserved the Oscar. I wasn't surprised that Eddie Murphy didn't win, his performance was not Oscar worthy in my opinion. Very happy for Jennifer Hudson, she is living the dream. Such a lucky girl.
