Interview, Vanity Fair, Elle UK and now our Elle in the states have all had Madonna grace their covers this month. We have a feeling this isn't even the end of the list yet. Promoting Hard Candy is the task at hand and in each interview we learn a little something new about the record-setting Pop Icon. This time she reveals news about Lourdes, Guy, and their family dynamic. Here are highlights:
- On her kids: "Lola rules the roost. She is extremely maternal toward David. He is the apple of everyone's eye right now. Lola is in major competition with Rocco, but he's starting to fight back. But when nobody's looking, the two of them still creep into bed and cuddle. It's a closet kind of love."
- On shopping in a disguise: "Lola likes us to do that. The incognito never really lasts very long, because everyone knows I wear baseball caps. So I guess I don't really have an incognito."
- On who disciplines her children: "Oh, definitely me. Guy's a softie when it comes to our kids."
- On Guy's favorite hobby: "Jujitsu. I don't get it—grown men throwing each other around. But he loves it."

Ugh, I used to like her when she first came out and was popular, but over the years, she has just turned my stomach. She is just icky. Some people think it is so great how she always reinvents herself, but I just think she is trashy. When she became all slutty, I just lost interest in her. Ick.
1I love the picture of her on the cover... and I understand how at her age, you'd be proud of your body... but I just think it's gross that this woman is what... 50 something and running around in leotards. It was gross watching her videos from her last albums and it's gross now. *sigh* I just wish she'd cover up... a LITTLE bit more.

i thin kthat it's great that there is so much promotion behind her new album. i think that everyone who says negative things about her really need to take a step back and consider what her life has been like over the years. she's never been truly loved, and i think that soemtimes people forget that she's ah uman being who's been all over the place. she can't truly hav a normal life becuase she's an icon...so for thinking that she's snooty or whatever because she tries to go incognito, or that she builds her own gym...put yourself in her shoes and consider what it would be like if you couldn't even step out of your door without a million and a half people being in your face.
i love her, and i wish her the best. i think that her children will turn out just fine since she seems to truly make the effort there.
