i love the book, but i dunno if i'm excited about the movie..

I need to comment on the clothes. I read all the books and loved them very much, and as much as Becky loved shopping, and had a clear problem, she never dressed like a fool. I feel like the stylist of this movie is trying to be too wacky, and that is not how Becky was at all. Does anyone agree? Or is it just me.

yes the outfits are FUG and she's such a pretty girl! They are trying too hard to emulate SATC or Gossip Girl that it comes off as tacky.

isla must have such a great time with those clothes that she gets to wear. it has to be fun....i don't know - i would love it.

as for her man...he's always doing wacky things like borat and bruno...i'm glad that the judge tossed out the suit - you have to be careful about what you get involved in..and maybe those kids should have asked more questions before signing a release form.

I think her outfits (more like costumes) are just too many colors at once. I wish Posh could help her out on that. I do love Hugh Dancy, however! Thankfully he's starting to appear in the daily pictures.

oh no is he suppose to be Luke Brandon? Not that he is not a fine actor, but he was just not what I had i mind at all! I finally got around to being somewhat ok with Isla Fischer as Becky...but he was just not the Luke Brandon I had in my head...! Oh well, can't win them all I guess

I'm with Bostonbean. I was looking forward to the movie, but each successive outfit makes me want to see it less and less.

yeah, becky didn't wear such wacky outfits in the book. she wasn't exactly the most stylish girl, but clothes weren't her problem. her finances were.

hugh dancy is DELICIOUS! but i think he's a mite too young to play luke, who has a pretty good job. but anyway, anyone think hugh can do better than claire danes? i honestly don't get what people men in that girl...

I definitely agree that these outfits are seeming pretty over-the-top. I'm so excited, however, for the movie. I've read every book in the Shopaholic series and they are seriously laugh-out-loud funny. I hope the movie lives up to the book series!

yeah, but i dont really see her as becky. I've read the first three books and now I'm on Shopaholic and Sister. She does not wear outfits like these and she does not go to New York until the second book (Shopaholic takes Manhattan)
