MTV announced the nominations for the 2006 Video Music Awards today. Shakira and The Red Hot Chili Peppers received the most nominations for the VMAs with 7 each. Both will compete for video of the year along with Christina and Madonna. JT and Beyonce announced the nominees today. They will both perform that evening along with Panic! At The Disco, The Killers and rappers T.I. and Ludacris.
The VMAs will air on August 31st in NYC from Radio City Music Hall. For the first time ever, viewers can vote in all categories. Click here to cast your vote. This is guaranteed to be a fabulous show! Each year I wonder how MTV will top the Madonna Britney kiss.

34if i'm correct... R & B (Rythym and Blues), Rap, Hip Hop, Freestylin', Scratching and even fashion is incorporated in the realm of Hip Hop (Hip Hop is then whole culture). Rap and R&B are both genres of music under the Hip Hop realm. Rap is faster than R&B. R&B is usually characterized as more melodic, if you will, but some R&B songs have some fast beats.

"Meh" is kind of like saying "whatever, doesn't excite me". Sometimes sound effects are easier for me because I just don't feel like typing the whole thing out.

Maybe it is the lack of integrity, equally suck ass songs or the fact that with them both being back in the limelight with the same haircuts/colour (JT&Bouncy) predictable use of the word sex in the title to sell records (JT) predictable rap boyfriend appearing in the video to give the song so credibility (BK) impossible to copy dance routine (BK) makes it feel like groundhog day.
I long for a day were lyrics ment something and were memorable...who wants to sing "Go ahead, be gone with it" 6 times in a chorus? Not me.
