George Clooney was the last man standing from the Leatherheads cast, with neither Renee Zellweger nor John Krasinski showing their faces at a screening of the film in NYC last night. He did have the support of Bruce Willis, his close friend Ellen Barkin, and Julianna Margulies — which is a fun little treat for fans of old-school ER. Clooney looked like he was in good spirits as usual, but behind the scenes of his new movie, things have been less than perfect. The Writers Guild of America refused to give him writing credit on Leatherheads, even though he claims to have written most of the film. As a result, George has decided to become less involved with the WGA, even though he'll stay on as a member. Even if Clooney got burned a little, he's got plenty of other talents to keep paying those bills.

4not that he really needs the acclaim, you can understand why he would want to get the notice from the guild. ugh...i odn't know..it's like he's trying to do so much and be this strong 'political' person...not in governmental politics but in the guilds/unions way - and he's just having a rough go at it. oh well.
