Lindsay Lohan has another legal headache coming her way — she's getting sued again. A man who says he is a former bodyguard of hers is claiming that the starlet never paid him for his services in 2006 and 2007, and he wants her to fork over the $55,000 he supposedly earned. Meanwhile, Lindsay's rep says that she doesn't know who the man is. It seems like stars are getting sued all the time these days, so tell us — do you think celebrity lawsuits are becoming too common?

1haha, I feel like people would fall through the cracks when you have 70 people doing something/anything for you. She probably does owe him the money and I'm sure he would have some sort of documentation to prove his money claims.

8i think that sometimes they are just about people who want $$ from celebs...but a lot of the time they do seem to have some sense of legitimacy. i don't know. a lot of the time though, it's not the celeb that manages finances and paying people, so it's not like it's really their fault. i can't see LL writing a personal check to some bodyguard....
9EVERYone wants a part of their money. That's the truth. Everyone wants an easy buck..no one wants to work hard anymore.
10Well if he has some sort of documenation to buttress his case, then he should be paid. Quite possibly this may have just fell through the cracks, but he should be paid for services rendered. However, are society has become increasingly litigious, so nothing suprises me anymore.
11I agree Ginger. It seems to me like too often celebrities don't take responsiblity for their actions. Seems like their stance is often that they don't have to be accountable for bills they rack up. If Lindsey used this guys services she owes him the money!

Anyway, if the celeb is wrong then they owe if not it will be proven before too long. I think its 50/50, some claims are legit and some people are loking for their payday
15Most stars have business managers who pay their bills upon approval from the star. Many stars withhold payments because they feel entiled to perks. With her attitude issues last year, it wouldn't surprise me if she did try to cheat this guy.
It should be easy to verify whether he performed any services for her or not.
16I'm sick of celebs thinking they're above everyone else and above the law. If they do something wrong they need to take responsibility for it.

19Maybe they're common, but most of them are for good reason so they could have prevented it.
20I think they give as good as they get. How many times do we read about celebs suing tabloids, Dita suing some company last week that didn't pay her - and just today - Rob Lowe suing his nanny and staff and whatever for breaching confidentiality agreements. However, celebs wouldn't get sued as much if the plaintiffs (and more importantly, their lawyers) didn't think they had money.
21I'm sure there are some people just looking to make money, but if celebs do things like not pay people then people are entitled to come after what is theirs.

23People sue too much in general. You shouldn't sue just on the off-chance that you can get away with in, but it's okay if you really have been legally wronged.

25Maybe. A lot of them seem really crazy but you never know they might be real. I can see a hollywood celeb not paying someone for their services but why would you wait until they owed you $55,000 before you collected? You wouldn't keep working for them if they weren't paying you would you?
