The Olsen twins have been very busy recently doing all things Olsen -- like shopping... and thinking about fashion... and traveling (as seen here leaving their hotel in Paris) so they can do more shopping. MK, however, managed to break out of that pattern this week by writing a piece in the NY Times on - you guessed it - fashion. More specifically, it's about handbag love and we can so relate. Here it is in all its Olsen glory:
I have a large, red quilted Chanel bag that I borrowed from my sister Ashley. I wore it to an event and never gave it back. Luckily, she's moved on to another bag, so I'm safe for now. I'm not quite sure how many bags I have, but let's just say I have a few. When I find a bag I like, I tend to wear it to death until I become obsessed with another one. This probably happens three to five times a year. But I always come back to the Chanel. The size isn't overwhelming, and it has enough subtle detail to keep it interesting.
I also have the smaller version in blue and in white, but the red is definitely my favorite. I don't have a stylist — I'd rather just do my own thing and put together my own outfits. The chain-handle bag is the perfect accent to almost any combination I come up with. I look at everything with a designer's eye, but I wouldn't change a thing about this bag. I think that's why it's a true classic.
We're sure this is just the tip of the iceberg on the girls stealing each other's clothes and accessories. Besides, what are sisters for, especially when you are the same size and all? It's nice that they have their own style yet can share and still confuse us as well.

5Oh, didn't notice the fur. I'm glad that they're staying warm. It ONLY takes 42 foxes to make 1 coat, so cool. Selfish little b*tches!
6I really liked these girls when they were on that cute tv show...forgot the name of it, but it was when they were in their late teens. They were just so pretty back then. Now, they just look hideous all of the time. They're both so gaunt, and dress so oddly. I admire how they've built this huge empire, but they've grown up to be two very strange girls.
7God - these two girls dress horrible! You would think that with all of the money that they have, that they could afford better clothes. (although sadly enough, their outfits probably cost quite a bit...YIKES! Why?)
I hate the typical Hollywood look - pouty face, oversized sunglasses, granny chic (more like "eek") clothes, tights/leggings, big hand bag, etc...
Give it up girls! When will it be ok to put on something that fits well and has some color to it? (and when will brushing your hair come back in?...and doing a nice face of makeup?) I'm sick of this fugly crap!
8I think Mary-Kate should spend less cash on vintage Hermes (the bag she's carrying is TDF!) and more on food! For Coco Chanel's sake, grab a burger, girl!!!
9who makes the glasses in Black? Not the ugly white ones, the black ones....I Need to know.

13You can tell these two girls are very bad people on the inside by the amount of fur they wear. Only very cruel people would be this selfish. I wonder if MK owns so many bags because she looks like a bag lady most of the time?
