Last night some of music's finest gathered to recognize those behind the hits. The ASCAP is about the songwriters, composers, producers and more. Justin Timberlake's BFF Timbaland cleaned up with nine awards including songwriter of the year. Fergie and Gwen Stefani tied for song of the year and Lionel Richie was recognized with ASCAP's Golden Note Award. Nicole looked beautiful posing with her dad and sassy little sister. She continues to prove she is more focused on family life than a good party although from the look on JT's face this was a pretty fun event.

I love ASCAP, hate Justin. That photo is offensive to me. He has such a big ego. I love Natasha, she's one of my favorites. I heard Fergie interviewed about her award. You can look up any song, performer, or composer on ascap.com. At this event, the winners perform their songs too. There should be video someplace and later it will be on their website.

19I like ascap awards better than the Grammys because it is based on spins, not on someone's opinion. ASCAP and Billboard are based on spins. But ASCAP is not broadcast.So I think the award is more credible.
