Sex and the City and He's Just Not That Into You are two of the movies we're most excited to see this year. Unfortunately, the start-studded Into You's release date has been pushed back from August 1, possibly all the way until the end of October. Apparently one of the reasons for the delay is to completely avoid the SATC hype. While we're looking forward to both, tell us — which one are you more excited for?

To me, SATC is immensely overrated. I'd rather watch a cheesy chick flick than 4 middle aged women trying to look younger and failing.
1That's not the reason I read for the push back. If they thought it stood a chance at selling big tickets they would have stuck to the summer date. October is when you release the small films, between the summer and holiday blockbusters.
SATC has a huge following who will go see it whether or not it's any good. I really think of these two films as being all that competitive.
2Thats the beauty of you paying for movies...if you don't want to see it you don't have to, so srry to hear you hate powerful women that are comfortable with their secuality and are not typical cookie cutter wives. As for me? I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THOSE "MIDDLE AGE" WOMEN having some sex talk.
3Neither.
4Sex and the City of course!!
Nicola, you are so ignorant. These women KNOW how old they are. And they are not trying to pretend they are younger.
5neither
6Definitely SATC. Maybe because I AM one of those "middle aged women." ;p
7Woops... I left out a word in my earlier post. I really DON'T think of these two films as being competitive.
So it seems like a weak excuse to imply that SATC is the reason they are pushing back for two months, when really, it's more likely because they want to use the lucrative summer season to fill screens with movies that will sell more tickets.
8SATC, of course. It's been in the making for the past 4 years. He's Just... is just another star-studded movie. I'll definitely watch it, but I'm more interested in seeing the girls come back!
9SATC i cant waiiiiiiiitttttttttttt
10Two ladies I find terrible unsexy and over exposed. Neither have had a hit in a while and both are past there prime. Sex and the City is going to be total trash. The series is so dated I can't even watch these days.
11I read that JA's flick won't be coming out till some time in October.....
12Sorry but I have not read the book and I never really got into SATC so I do not know how old the girls are. Will someone let me know? Are they in their 30s and 40s? What exactly does the great uk nicola2018 think they are failing at? Kristin go back and read some of her earlier posts about anything. It's like reading a 16 year old's comments.
13Jennifer Aniston = Lame.
14did anyone else notice that sjp's hands look like they belong to an 80 year old woman in that pic?
15Uh, neither.
16SATC trumps all!
I also read that "He's Just Not That Into You" was pushed back to due lack of interest in general, not the SATC competition. But we'll see!
17SATC!!I cant wait anymore!
18Sex and the City is da bomb!
19I love that series.
A must-watch!
The irony is, the phrase "He's just not that into you" came from an episode of Sex and the City.
20SATC!!!!! I don't care if it is kind of cheesy and overrated, I fell in love with the show and I want to see what happens to the gals(even if the spoilers all over the net gave away much of it)
21I never could get into SATC. But I wouldn't mind watching it. As far as "hes not that into you"...I think it will probably be okay...but I think having all those stars in it will work against it. I think people will expect it to be AWESOME. So when its just good, there will be alot of disappointed people.
22I'd rather have my testicles eaten by albino bilge rats than sit through either of these craptastic yawnathons.
23Actually August 1st was never a firm date. There has been no trailer and no poster.I've read some of the screening reviews-said it was very good(a good relationship movie). Said that both Jennifers (Connelly and Aniston) were excellent. Also talked about how Jennifer's and Ben's part was so touching.Said they were great together. Also said Justin Long was hilarious as the love guru.
Also they haven't even done the rough cut yet..I actually think Drew dropped the ball on this one.It is her Flowers Production Company and we see her out partying..a lot..also NL fired about 490 of their workers last week..I would think this has some bearing on it's release too.
But doesn't matter-I'll still see it when it comes out.As for the rivalry-sounds like BS to me.
24SATC!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet Dream I'm right there with you, but I have avoided every trailer and spoiler just so I can watch it like it's the next episode & Sashaqueenie knows her sex! Also, I belive all of the girls are in their early 40's except Samantha who a few years older like late late forties now. Someone correct me if you know more.
25Neither. I'm REALLY waiting for The Incredible Hulk. While I was watching the trailer for the second time I felt so emotional I almost cried (wait, I did cry a bit when, checking the pictures through the gallery, I got to hear the notes from the old series' theme, that sad song played at the end of every episode).
26This is DREW MARRYMORE'S movie, not Jen's. Drew is the producer, who obviously dropped the ball on getting this movie out as scheduled. Leave Jennifer out of it.
27I just saw the whole SATC trailer at work today and it looks soo fab. Its funny, super girly, and it has Jennifer Hudson in it. Also it has a cool soundtrack. I keep humming "Forgiveness" by India Arie which on the soundtrack.
28i've been waiting for so long fot SATC , i cant wait
29I put SATC, but I know it won't be released anywhere near me, so I'll have to wait until it comes out on video anyway.
30Neither. Jennifer looks great in the previews for her movies, but somehow they never come through.
31Not interested. I'm waiting for Iron Man.
32Tough call!
33Totally SaTC! I'm marathon-ing all the seasons on my laptop in preparation for it.
34what a silly question, obviously SATC
35Im tired of the same formulas even junk like the movies of Katherine Heigl,Anne Hathaway etc....
36I miss the comedies by Julia Roberts and romantic comedies that of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. I want the good stuff like When Harry Met Sally,Lucille Ball etc.. The quality in H-Wood is so deteriorating.
Never watched even an entire episode, but...
37wasn't "Maybe, he's just not that into you" what one of the male writers of SITC said to a group of female writers, when they were chatting about their own love lives. His perspective was truer, but harsher than that of the women. I think that's what happened, and then one (or both) of them wrote a book with that as the title.
Both look great but SATC has so much hype and we've been waiting for years.
38Jude C, Tony Stark is featured in The Incredible Hulk too...make sure you won't miss this.
39Neither. I was never into SATC and I'm over Jennifer Aniston 100%. Plus, I'd rather see a B-horror movie than either one of these.
40Sex and the city, definitely.
41counting down the days 'til SATC. JA, i didn't even know they were making a movie. lame.
42I'm not interested in either. Actually want I currently want is to have TCM again since Cablevision took that channel away from me and I want to watch old movies on it. I would only have it through cablevision if I had IO. Chances are there'll be something I actually want to see in the fall, my favorite time for movie releases.
43@francoisehardly - oh no! I just got the card in the mail about channels that will be going unless you have the digital box.
As for the movies -- I like cheesy star studded movies, so I'll go for the Jenn A. one. I was never into SATC - unless you count the original Golden Girls.
44sex and the city forrrrrrr sure, ill probably see both but i loooove satc
45I'll see both, but SATC is for sure my first choice--can't wait!
46Sex and the city!!
47I loved Sex and the City on HBO. I'm afraid that the movie is going to ruin my good feelings for the show.
48eveday, I think you and I were separated at birth! I could care less about these two movies but I absolutely CANNOT WAIT for The Incredible Hulk!
49Sex and the City.
