Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz ended their week of dodging pregnancy questions and posing in NYC and brought their publicity show to LA this weekend. They looked happy and in love, keeping their little is she or isn't she secret to themselves a little longer. On Friday, Ash said that only time will tell when it comes to the maybe baby. I'm just wondering if this is bugging people (myself included) so much that they won't be excited to talk about it — or buy her other baby, Bittersweet World, which hits stores tomorrow — if there is a mini Pete/Ashlee coming our way.

2You know I don't think it's anyone's business. If she wishes to decline to answer just leave it at that and go on finding another celebrity to moan about.

4I don't know why it's a bigger deal with these two than it is with other celebrities who decline to answer. Angelina Jolie avoided talking about it and so did J Lo. Big deal.

6She's just pimping her album. To be honest, I bought her last two album, because I used to love everything Simpson sisters. Now, I couldn't bother less about this broad or her sister!

9mondaymoos I think the answer is because when Brangelina or other stars with actual talent decline to answer, it's because they actually want privacy. Ashlee is clearly trying to provoke the question and then dodge it, in an attempt to generate curiosity about her life to combat indifference about her album.
And personally, I would never want to be that kid who grows up knowing they were conceived as part of a marketing ploy, which this so obviously is. (You don't have to be a brainiac to prevent or terminate an unplanned pregnancy.) And call me a pessimist but when her album flops and Pete gets bored with her and Jess makes her comeback and Ash realizes she's a mother now for the rest of her life -- she is going to hit the wall hard. Sad.

20Who cares, if she is pregnant she'll have a baby, if she's not she won't. I've never understood this fascination with people trying to "guess" if someone is pregnant or not.
21seriously, who cares....cockroaches have babies too...she's loving th attention and it's all one big game...when you're in that business every bit of press helps whatever you're selling...she's wearing the raincoat to sell records; period.
