Brad Pitt will be back on the big screen October 27th in his new movie Babel. We've enjoyed Brad as the stoner in True Romance and the cool guy in Oceans 11 and 12 but this movie looks like he may be able to show off some real acting talent. Check out the trailer for Babel, and here's more on the movie:
Often changing his look when taking on a new role, Pitt sports a rugged, dusty look with short cropped hair in 'Babel,' which opens on October 27.Cate Blanchett co-stars with Brad and an international ensemble of actors and non-professional actors from Morocco, Tijuana and Tokyo.
The concept for 'Babel' comes from the famous biblical reference to a tower built by a united humanity with the intent to reach heaven. As the story goes, this upset God -- in anger, God made each person involved speak different languages, halting the project and scattering a confused and disconnected people across the planet.
In the film, Brad and Cate portray a married couple on vacation when a tragedy strikes, interweaving four stories set in Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan.

I'm glad daddy's got another gig because I want a gilded stroller with a crystal chandelier, just like the one that baby barron trump has!
1OVER him!!
2Sounds interesting, hope it's good...
3Ok, I am prolly gonna get a lot of backlash for this, but, in all honesty, I never got what the big deal was over Brad Pitt. I mean this pre-Angelina too.
4People always gushed about how he was the hottest man alive, etc. and yeah, he is good looking, but there are plenty of other goodlooking actors.
People act like he is some kind of a god and I don't see it at all.
i think that people also really like him because hes a nice guy. Cant wait for the movie!
5can't wait to see the movie.. i love anything with brad pitt!
6Hmm, I might have to see that.
7Yeah, this sounds good.At least it sounds original unless many of the movies that have been made lately.
8I wonder if Angelina and the kids in tow will come to see papa shoot for the new movie
9Looks interesting but I'll wait til it comes out on DVD. He's pretty but can't act.
10i thought this movie looked amazing and i liked the idea from the first time i heard about a year ago! ill plunk down my $9 for this one!
11I think this movie looks excellent!
12thank god- something original in the sea on sequels and remakes.
13Looks like a good movie but I have to say--Cate Blanchett will make anyone around her seem like a better actor. She is amazing.
14This movie is AMAZING! I saw it at a prescreening before it was completely done and I am very impressed with his acting in it. Cate Blanchett is amazing, too. It's several storyline all interwoven with a language barrier/issue as one of the interconnecting threads. Gael García Bernal is in it, as well. This movie is the third in a trilogy by director Alejandro González Iñárritu (Amores Perros and 21 Grams are the other two films)
15Brad looks so ugly in this preview! This makes me sad. This reminds me of Syriana a little bit...the intro to the preview does, anyway. Anyone else see that?
16I can't wait to see this! I think he's a great actor, personally, although I might be totally biased on that.
17the movie looks good, but age seems to be creeping up on mr pitt!
18babel doesn't sound funny so i don't want to see it. i'm on my comedy-only phase. the world is full of drama. i want to escape it when i go to the movies.
19This looks like it has a "Crash" feel to it with all the stories intertwined. We will be 1st in line. All his personal business aside, I think he is a very talented actor (12 Monkeys and Fight Club were both strong performaces) and the director is extremely good, although I thought Amorros Perros ("Lifes a b*tch") was really strange. There was a scene it where these dogs are fighting and they viciously kill each other and the audience was laughing - so bizarre. Anyyyyway, I digress (easy to do when the subject is movies!)
20Some film critics seemed to have liked the film so far..
And it's propably not going to be a huge in box office but these kind of films never have been..
And about Brads look.. He's supposed to look older in this film..
21Funny though nowadays when a part in some film requires an actor or actress look little different what they look normally it's somehow brought against them.
wow, a scene where dogs kill eachother? That does not sound good.
22Mar - no, it wasn't good - it was hideous. We were horrified when the rest of the audience started laughing.
23i don't like brad pitt he just bugs me the only movie i've ever like with him in it was mr. & mrs. smith and even then i thought angelina jolie and adam brody were better
24maybe this movie will be different though it looks actually good
25Annie2u59 the movie looks good, but age seems to be creeping up on mr pitt!
----------------
well annie, they aged him for the movie, brad pitt is playing a 49 yeard old man in Babel and he must look that age!!
I love cate ,this woman is beautiful!

27its not just that movie, ive been thinking that in a lot of pictures that i`ve seen lately. it happens, he`s not that young any more.
28I'm thrilled that Brad Pitt is handsome opposed to pretty, and I'm even MORE thrilled that he's getting the opportunity to act in a movie as opposed to star in a movie. I think he's come along way, and if anyone ever saw him in Snatch, 12 Monkeys and Fight Club, like him or not, he showed he was more than just a pretty face IMO. I never liked him much in to much else, but loved him in those three, and from now on, I think he's going to be really bringing on the good stuff instead of the eye candy.
29Never liked brad, never never and I never will. Dont find him cute at all...too girly
30looks interesting, but i'll save it for a dvd rental i think.
31wow, it looks great. I'll be hitting the cinemas for this one. We need a few more serious movies, far too many in the style of little-man, over the hedge etc.. bring on humanity issues. Boo-Ya.
32the children of men (Clive owen) and the departed (matt damon/jack nickolson) both look really good too. i'm really looking forward to all 3 of these.
33We need more great comedies
34I like Brad Pitt in movies where he isn't the whole shebang. When he has to carry a movie, I think he falls short. He's actually a much better character actor than leading man.
35Padraigin,
36You are so right. Someone wrote Brad is a character actor stuck in a leading man's body. I'm definitely excited for Babel.
Shiloh keeps me laughing. I'm going to see this it got good reviews at Cannes and Gael Garcia Bernal is in it, I think, and he's hot.
37Padraigin & Funkyfeet, very much agree, and I think, or feel that he's of that frame of mind too judging from the roles he's got in the works. Jesse James of course has him in the lead, but it's still a departure from the norm in that his character is said to be a nasty piece of goods "none of that baddie with a heart of gold crapola."
38prolly see it, theres nothing better out now anywayss
