Even though Jess seems to love her new dark hair, she had to go back to blonde (this time, a wig) to do some reshoots for Blonde Ambition in NY yesterday. Jessica may be feeling the pressure of her first starring role, but luckily she's been studying some comic greats and was even able to memorize all her lines this time around (well, mostly). Here's Jess on the experience:
- "There are so many Lucille Ball moments," Simpson said. "Dane Cook taught me how to do that; he used his body language a lot. And the women who do that, like Goldie Hawn or Meg Ryan, do that so well, and it just makes the comedy so much better. Jim Carrey is obviously the best at it; he does all the different faces. But I have so many different faces in this movie that I never knew I had before."
- The hardest thing about 'Blonde Ambition' was that I'm carrying the weight of the movie on my shoulders," she said. "I was in every shot, pretty much, and it was very time-consuming. You don't really understand until a week after you're done shooting, and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, I memorized all those lines! Wow!' "
From what we've seen the film is obviously going to be a little goofier than the original Working Girl, which earned Melanie Griffith an Oscar nomination. Now that Jess is winning back her fans with her more laid back personality and new love John Mayer, it will be interesting to see if this movie becomes a hit.

3She's winning back her fans? Ok, I'd rather see a film that had her dog in the lead, than this woman. She wanted to be an actress, so she better grow a thick skin for the criticism that she's going to get.
4i think she's highly over-rated... in every way.
5I think the only way she could carry a movie would be for the freak show element. She certainly was wooden and useless in her first two outings and she wasn't the lead role in either.

7And please hunt down and kill all those involved with greenlighted a remkae of Working Girl! Death is too kind actually. Strap them to chairs and run this Jessica jem 24 hours a day for a week and I am sure they will kill themselves.

14I think she should be worried. The only thing different about ditzy Jess is her new boyfriend, and new haircolor. That is not enough to make her worthy of starring in a movie. Her efforts in Dukes of Hazzard were marked by the size of her shorts, not her acting ability.

It's amazing how others get a kick out of seeing someone fail at something or waiting to fail . the movie hasn't even come out yet and who knows it might just be good ..that is if she really got prepared for it and took it seriously, but i must say even though i think she's very pretty that wig not so much.
As for her ditsy rep. that she has earned herself people give her so much crap about it when Marylin was the same and yet she's considered an icon . she wasn't able to memorize her lines either like in that movie that she acted in " some like it hot " there was a scene where she was sitting down doing her hair or something and they had to write her lines inside the drawer ..lol

And it was a different time in Hollywood and a different generation where women were only expected to look pretty and say yes sir and no sir.
The same behavior today is rather demeaning to women in large. Too many misogynists out there that still think women should not be doctors or lawyers or God forbid a President. And they will point to the dip sh*ts of the world as proof.

24I'm not waiting for her to fail as if it would give me personal pleasure and joy (okay just a little lol) but I am a firm believer in stick with where your talent lies. She is an excellent singer she should focus on that. Don't thrust urself into other media for the simple reason of being in the public eye all the dang time!!!
