The cast of Gossip Girl left the designer clothes at home and stripped down to their undies for the cover of New York magazine. These kids are no strangers to using sex to sell the show, but just as eye-catching as the cover models is the headline that reads "Best. Show. Ever."
Don't get us wrong, we love this show and are counting the minutes to tonight's episode, but this is definitely a bold statement. What do you think — is Gossip Girl the best show ever?

1I had to pick other because I've never even watched this show. I don't feel like I'm missing out though because I watch enough t.v. as it is and frankly, being out of high school 4 years now I'm just not interested in shows like this.

8I'm way out of high school (*cough 24 cough*) but I still love the show. Partially because I know that in real life, the actors are all basically my age, aside from Taylor Momsen (and wow Zahara Pitt you are right on the money with that one, she is definitely way too young for that cover shot, she's not even of age!). It's also just a show though and there have been a ton more important and big shows before this one. I also have a hard time with giving the title to a show that is not exactly original, in concept and material. First off, it was a book beforehand. Would you say the books were the best ever (nooooo)? Second, the whole my teens are wild and drink and do whatever they want because they are rich has been done before. A lot. Not necessarily better, but done before.
9It's still a good guilty pleasure though. I for one am a little upset its going head to head with Greek though! (thank god for dvrs...)

10I don't think there is such thing as best show ever because everyone has their opinions and likes. In my opinion, I would say the best is Buffy but that's MY opinion & others are not going to agree. I personally don't agree with this cover because like Popsugar said, it's too bold. Even my friends who are OBSESSED with this show would have to argue that fact.

14i love the show and its one of my favs at the moment- but not best ever. i mean this is just like the oc in the first seasons- and then it snowballed. satc ranks up there as best ever. i also loved alias- but that is just personal preference!
15I'm going to go ahead and STRONGLY disagree with that statement. I personally prefer a show with a little more substance...especially if you're going to term it "best show ever".
At best, I'd say it's a guilty pleasure for those who enjoy teen soap-type shows. I would have loved this show 10 years ago. But I'm all set now.

LOST is miles better. It has the gripping storylines and mystery. I've not gone 'OMFG' at Gossip Girl just yet.
21really? How is this even a poll? Everyone has their own opinion. But I dont think this show has been on long enough to even come close to deserving this title. What about shows like Friends and E.R that had decades long air-time. not to mention syndication. Personally I think Family Guy is the best show ever.
22I don't really think that it is justified to call it the best show ever. what about friends, sex and the city, heck even seinfeld (which I was not a fan of but still) I feel that it is just a bit premature to call GG Best Show Ever.

the shows plotlines aren't as good, and the characters for the most part are not as dynamic.
if you haven't read the books, do it. jenny isn't some skinny blonde chick like the rest of them - she is short and has curly hair.
dan is a dork. vanessa is kick ass and bald... i dunno. better in the book.
and their casting of nate is ucky.
and i really hope that chuck turns gay and gets his monkey sweetie. if that doesn't happen, this show just really sucks. i hold it to high standards, but even when i tried to take it completely away from the book, it's not as good as other teen shows.

37I've only watched a couple episodes of this show ... I think I'm too old for it (I'm 27). I wanted to like it, but I got bored and kept switching channels. I certainly wouldn't say it's the 'best show ever', but like everyone else is saying that is a very subjective title!

38No. Never seen it, and don't plan on it. Shouldn't the show that gets awarded that title (Best Show Ever) be something that appeals to everyone and be something that really changes the way we see ourselves and the way we watch television? Shouldn't it be something with substance and depth?

47No. I also can't stand this show. There have been some excellent teen drama shows and this is not up to par to any of them. My So Called Life was a great teen drama...this show is nothing close to that. Its just ok.
