The rumors have been around for some time, but now it's official -- the Jolie-Pitts are adopting a Vietnamese child. Vietnam's top adoption official confirmed that Angelina filed the papers to begin the adoption process. She applied as a single parent, though we assume this has something to do with the process (since she and Brad are not officially married) rather than anything about their relationship. There's no telling how long this process will take, but we can't wait to meet the new addition to their beautiful family. We bet Maddox is pulling for a boy. Congrats to the whole family!

7I think a lot of people would adopt more or have more children if they were financially able, and I think it's great that they are since they can, IMHO.

20Someone needs Adoption Anonymous by skinny fat hits the spot! LOL. She's just had a baby, lost her mum, came back from afica, now she wants another baby from a different continent. Her lover has serveral films in the work and are also producing some more movies this year. I think 24 hours in a day is too little for both of them. Private planes and a team of nannies certainly help with the workload but i can't see how super nannies can give their children good parenting. Kids need time not helpers and money. I think jolie (and her lover) needs to see a therapist. I have a feeling she's adopting to fulfill something inside her. It is crazy. I like what she wrote in the newspaper recently I think she is sincere but man she needs a reality check!

Wow, a few of you commenting on her sound like professional child protection workers. They're two grown adults who can make their own decisions about how much they can handle. It's not our job. If they do have a hard time keeping up, I'm sure the whole world will know. After all, they're the most watched couple right now.

48I pray the vietnamese officials are looking at jolie from all aspects! including the fact that she travels a lot and her partner is also very busy with his production company and acting in other people's movies. Not to mention how these two have in the past gave away family pictures to Hello and People when they promoted babel and the good sheperd. I pray they don't do it again. It was a terrible gesture. It suggested they enjoyed the attention (which i am sure they load). If her adoption was speedy then we know something isn't quite right either. She will be criticised more than Madonna because she should have known better.
