It was Andrew Lloyd Webber week on American Idol, and I'd love to tell you what I thought about the performances, but I was too busy singing along to notice. I'm kidding (kind of), but how fun to see some of our favorite Broadway ballads brought to the Kodak Theater stage. The judges banter was sadly kept to a minimum, despite the fact that they have to fill the hour with only nine to 12 minutes of singing. Just saying.

- I'm beginning to think that Syesha could surprise us all in the end. Not only did she look smoking hot last night, but she sounded awesome and finally showed off some personality. Simon thought it was sexy.
- Jason Castro was not even all right for me, dawg. His voice sounded weak and, come on, he didn't know the songs in Cats are sung by cats?
- Okay, Brooke White, enough with the false starts. For the second time she started and stopped her performance to try again. I found it pretty audacious, as did Paula, but Simon and Randy seemed to think it was the right thing to do. She's still pretty adorable but losing her charm.
- Little David Archuleta followed Andrew Lloyd Webber's advice and kept his eyes open! He also had one of the best song choices of the night with "Think of Me." I didn't even mind that he mixed it up a little; the judges loved it too.
- ALW definitely saved Carly be steering her towards "Jesus Christ Superstar" and away from "All I Ask of You." Simon thought she was a bit shouty — true. Love her dress.
- While I love David Cook's song choice with “Music of the Night,” I have mixed feelings about the performance. He sounded great and really put his heart into it, but there's just something a little silly about Mr. Rocker going Broadway.
Overall, I really enjoyed Andrew Lloyd Weber night and thankfully no one totally botched it. Highlights: Syesha and David Archuleta. Bottom three: Brooke, Jason, Carly. I think we may be saying farewell to our dreadlocked Castro tonight. Check out Buzz for more on last night and let us know who you think is going home.

I wish David Archuleta would get kicked off. Wont happen though, it's already pre-written that he wins.
1syesha sounds like a cat getting run over. repeatedly! it's horrible. we don't need another screecher on the radio.
2I think Brooke will go. That was the first time that i actually liked Syesha's performance. I like Jason but that really wasn't a good song choice for him. I hope Carly is not in the bottom 3, she kicked *ss last night!
3i hope that pot head jason castro gets kicked off, david a is wonderful
4I don't watch the show anymore I think it needs to go away....but I just wanted to know is that a Herve Leger dress she's wearing? Wow Idol has stepped up the wardrobe budget!
5Syesha looks hot. Maybe she'll win.
6Brooke White = nice person but way WAY out of her league. The first time she did that it was possibly OK since she was just stopping herself on the piano but to stop the entire orchestra? Soooooo not acceptable and don't see how Simon and Randy condoned this except that they must just feel sorry for her.
7I didnt watch it- bummed.
I will be sad when Brooke goes home.
8Brooke should have gone a long time ago. She doesn't have enough confidence and forgetting the lyrics doesn't help. David A. looks like he's twelve. He's ok but not what aI think of as an idol. I liked Syesha, I liked Starlight express, I saw it twice. I wish they had used some songs from Joseph and the TCDC. And Jason should have never sung Memories, he had no clue and was off key. It's always the song choice. David C. was ok but not as good as before. I think it's between Jason and Brooke.
9I thought it was a numbskull idea for the AI kids to sing show tunes anyway. It's not in the AI demographic and kind of a throwaway night.
10I agree with you Pop, I think Syesha might indeed walk away as the winner. She didn't stand out to me at first (I was rooting for Brooke) but as the weeks go by she is proven to be a starlett in her own right. I think it's guna come down to David Cook and her.
11My personal opinion:
- Syesha - She impressed me, I loved the performance! I'm not a fan, but I voted for her this week!
- Jason - This song just wasnt for him. It seems he didnt even try his best. Bottom 3 for sure
- Brooke - Fatal mistake this far in the competition, I felt bad for her. It wasn't that bad once she got it right. She can't compete any more.
- Archie - And ANOTHER one of the same. Kudos on the risk-taking this week. I was a fan early in the season, but now im just BORED!
- Carly - It was damn good to see her having fun! One of my favorites tonight!
- David Cook - WOW! He proved he can sing, which I think was his objective. He should stick to his emo-rocker style, but he proved a lot of people wrong this week... HE CAN SING!
MY BOTTOM 3: Jason, Brook, David A.
12David Archuletta is great! I think he has an amazing voice.
And David Cook sounded amazing with his song choice. Love them both.
13I actually REALLY liked Castro's interpretation of "Memory"! Also, I thought David Cook was amazing. It was risky to sing it straight, knowing that people would expect him to twist it some. He added some little bits of "him" into though, so it reflected his individual style. I normally enjoy David A's stuff, but this one was a little easy listening. Syesha was okay. Carly was smokin'. Brooke was...unfortunate.
14Brooke should go home tonight.
15Brooke and her annoying pouty faces need to gooooooooooooooo
16If you were singing along - then why didn't you notice that David A and Carly botched the words? David A even mouthes sorry to someone in the audience cause he knows that he messed up. Must be nice to be the golden boy.
17I think it's a bummer that people are pigeon holing David Cook. Yea I like him as a rocker too, but he kicked ass last night and should be given credit for that.
18OMG! That dress is awesome, and she looks awesome in it! WOW! Great body! Have not had a chance to hear her sing. Will have to tune in!
19David Cook was AMAZING last night. I know it's not his usual style, but like someone else said earlier, I think he chose this to show off the fact that he's got a VOICE since, as Simon always likes to remind us, "It's a singing competition." I think if he had to pick an Andrew Lloyd Webber tune and one that shows he can sing, Music of the Night is perfect for him because it's still got that "darkness" to it. I absolutely loved him last night, and I totally would have voted for him if I had good reception in my apartment
20David Cook can do no wrong, in my opinion. I LOVE everything he does and last night was no different.
In the beginning of thhe season I was impressed with David A., but now he just bores me to death! UGH!
Seyesha was good, but I don't think she has what it takes to win the whole competition.
Carly I have loved from day one but I think she has trouble with picking the right songs. Thank God ALW told her to change her song. I thought she did great last night.
Brooke and Jason both need to go.
21Syesha - I liked her this week. She showed a little sass. It just might be too little too late in the long run, though.
Jason - Not his best performance. Heard through the grapevine that he was sick last night and was being given fluids in between the rehearsal and the show. He should be bottom two, but not go home. I would pay for an album by him, I would love to see him play a small venue, I love him to death, but he is not American Idol material, nor should he try to be.
Brooke - She's having a slow, systematic meltdown. I love her, but think it's time for her to fly.
Archuleta - Enough already. Try injecting a little emotion into what is a VERY emotional song there, bot boy. And remember your words. At this stage in the game, that's important.
Carly - She was entertaining and looked wonderful. But again, remember your words, Carly. It's more important than you think.
David Cook - Dude started out in musical theater. He has the chops. I didn't like him at first, but in the past few weeks, I've come to really like him and seeing him play it straight tonight was illuminating. This is the man that should be the American Idol, not Archuleta.
22This was the only American Idol episode (besides the auditions) where I watched the whole thing. David Cook and Syesha did the best, imo. Brooke was a bit painful to watch. Jason was a little less painful. Carly was good. As for David A...I can't see him being an idol. I'm sorry to those who really like him but that's just how I feel. I just can't imagine the Americans being infatuated with him like other superstars.
23And krock19 I did notice that David A mumbled some parts of the song. It annoyed me because I really like that song.
24i love "Memory" from Cats, so i was biased and liked Jason's performance anyway. and i like him. it just seems like all of these categories they're choosing don't go well with his voice unfortunately. its easy for David A. who can just sing a slow song an be good. he is getting SO old.
i reallllly hope Brooke is going home tonight. oh gosh.
25I don't like Broadway but I actually love the song that David Archuleta picked. I like the ending best where it went "I won't forget you" (or something like that) it moved me. If he records this song, I would definitely buy it.
I do think that Jason will be bottom three but I don't want him to go. He is so cute. Pleaseeeee America ... don't send him home
26I feel like Brooke really got beat up by the judges. To me, she was the best at conveying the meaning of the song she chose, and let's not forget, it was sung by someone who was DYING. I think some of the "pain" that she was going through was part of the song. When she sang, I actually felt like I was pulled out of AI for once, and just focused on what she was singing. I know Brooke doesn't have the greatest range and isn't the best singer on the show, but I think she got a raw deal last night.
27I agree with GMarie ....I really liked Jason Castro. I got lost in his singing. He may have changed it a bit but he sang it with feeling. Also loved david Cook. David A. is cute. Brooke sings well but irritates the hell out of me with her emotions on her sleeve. Carly has great range but some how I cant relate to her song choice. Syesha ...hmnnn....I dont know ....dont like her singing much...but she performed very well on this show.
