Jamie Lynn Spears went out to her usual Kentwood haunts including Connie's Jewelry and Gifts and Nyla's Burger Basket (remind you of Brit's short stint in the restaurant business?) yesterday and this time she was joined by her mom Lynne. Momma Spears — well, one of them these days — has been bouncing back and forth between her daughters these days and while we already heard what she has to say about Brit's situation, she has some words for Jamie Lynn, too. She said, "I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age...All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands." Seems a little late for disappointment, but hey, 2008 is the year for Spears.

13she can be disappointed, but her daughter getting pregnant at such a young age reflects her as well. i also think it's happened, it is what it is, start supporting her b/c it's not going to change. jamie lynn has handled this in a really mature way.. i can't imagine the position she's in, and i think many girls that age would have opted for an abortion.. despite the fact of getting pregnant at such a young age, i feel like she's more put together than the other spears ladies.. (which is sad)

Lynne needs to shut her mouth, quit giving the press sound bytes and focus more upon the immediate needs of her own family. The old maxim "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree comes to mind here..." What I don't get is how she can avoid taking any responsibility for the actions of Jamie-Lynn, at least, who is still her younger daughter and presumably a bit less independent than Britney is. You know, babies don't just happen on their own.

Seriously, I can't believe how sanctimonious some of you are! JL is 17, and way too young to have a baby, but I bet many of you were having sex at 17, or have a daughter who is having sex at 17 and you are lucky something like this hasn't happened to you. I mean, she probably just should have had an abortion, but she chose to be brave and use the ample resources she had to raise a kid.

22I don't think Lynn's problem is relying on God's, but more like she won't let God take over. God doesn't need her help. And as bad as it is that Jami Lynn got pregnant, I don't think it's any worse that she met the father at church. A LOT of people go to church for apperances only.

She never gave that interview she is saying. It was a reporter on a plane and she said she never said a word to him and had him removed.
I also don't see why people say she is ignoring Jamie Lynn. She is going back and forth as much as humanly possible. Britney has been left alone for years by the family and right now I think she is the one in need of her parents more. Jamie Lynn has the rest of her family + boyfriend and his family in Kentwood. She's hardly alone. She's also sane, even if she is pregnant.
27Lynne, shut your trap. You are only making things worse. You need to do something. God gives you choices in life and it's what YOU do with those choices that make the difference. You CAN'T just put it in His hands because he's expecting YOU to do the work! Dumb woman!
