The Miley Cyrus craziness hasn't slowed down just yet, the latest news being that her parents actually ducked out of the shoot before the photos in question were taken, and that Disney's plan for damage control is to keep Miley out of the limelight as much as possible for the next four to six months. She's already issued an apology for the photos, but it feels like the pop star has been a little too relaxed about keeping her image clean with incidents like talking about how much she loves Sex and the City and those somewhat racy photos in her bra that have been around the Internet. So we want to know — do you think Miley will learn her lesson after this latest scandal?

this whole controversy is just ridiculous.
1that taking off your clothes sells? yes i think she will. any one who thinks this is nothing; when you have children you can speak to it. until then you don't know what you're talking about.
2I agree with filmgirl, this is all really ridiculous.
3Miley Cyrus isn't nessecarily the one who needs to wake up it's her parent's! I'm not sure if they where there for the infamous picture or not ( there is some argument), but they should have been there to review the proofs. A partially naked 15 year old or a 15 year old being portrayed as partially naked is inappropriate and illegal ( Child Porn).
I would also like to say thank you for Team Sugar for not being a site that keeps posting the questionable ( illegal) picture!
4miley prolly thinks she's hot, no?
5are we slow on celeb news that we are bombarded with miley's (controversial pictures) paris (and her no talent) heidi and the hills clan (slutty and no talent selves) please pop give me a break, oh and btw i do think that she learned her lesson, instead of critizing her the media included lets extend ourselves to her so we wont have another sh*tsh*t on our hands in a few years, the end
6Is this question for real? Like she's never going to do anything questionable ever again! We are all gossip queens here right? We see this time and time again.
7agree with filmgirl
shes still young so she have alot of lessons to learn but whatevs
8Ha, totally agree pink!!!
9I imagine that in the long run, this might actually help her career. (I'm not saying that's good, just saying.) The kids' market got her famous enough to where even adults know who she is, she's not completely unfortunate-looking, and now that she's starting to grow up, a scandal that reveals her as a potential sexual object might well help her gain older (male) fans. You know there will be an explosion of those Maxim-reading guys just waiting for her to turn 18.
Again, I'm not saying that's good. I'm just saying that's the way it looks to me.
10She IS currently learning her lesson.
Acts of controversy = TONS of media attention. Bonus.
11I think the only lesson she has learned here is this:
12If you do something racy and innappropiate you will get the press you were hoping for so GOOD JOB!
Case closed.
agree with yiddidea and pink too
13we cant blame her..
14i mean everything is just her dads, who loves to earning megabucks by selling his daughter, and her skank mommas fault.
and there will be more mileys and jamie lynns..
If the media stopped talking about it and bringing it up, this wouldn't even be an issue anymore. Frankly, when a 15 year old makes front page news over more important stories, it's just plain ridiculous.
15I really think she'll be fine. She's probably being pushed to be more adult at the same time she has to be a kid. It's gotta be hard to be 15 in the spotlight. It's a tough time anyway. She's got a good head on her shoulders and everyone is making too big of a deal of it. It's not like she's smoking crack and whoring herself out.
16i agree judec, valentina and yiddidea
17i think that she is pressured to grow up and fell into temptation just to be relevant or more famous, look at hilary duff the worst thing she did was date joel but didn't loose her virginity, but im sure miley will get more roles than hilary ever will, why because this is what society wants and will pay big bucks for, sorry but sex sells, not right but true
18I just listened to an interview with Miley. It was hard to listen through the whole thing. Her voice sounds as hoarce as a 50 yr old truck driver. If that's her normal voice, OMG I feel sorry for her. It's so manly.
19Ugh, whatever!
20I'm just waiting for this brouhaha to blow over! Enough already. She has issued a mea culpa, acknowledged it was malapropos to have partook in such a "scandalous" photo, lets just let the issue rest. By continuing to give coverage to it, all the media is doing is magnifying the situation, which is the desiderata of someone looking for more attention. I think, as was stated above, she is possibly trying to appeal to a different fan base, and feels maybe she is outgrowing her current legion of fans. Just my 2 cents.
21You're right about that, pinkprincess.
As a woman, I find it disturbing that it's the sexuality of young girls her age that sells, but then again, the male fascination with adolescent girls isn't a new thing. It just sort of happens that now we have magazines and TV and movies and the Internet to feed the fascination and blare it all over everything for people to see.
22It's a possibility that she will learn her lesson. Hopefully, she will stay away for a few months, that way she can relax and not worry about what's she's been going through the past year---and she can give everyone else a break from her for a while. I mean, I'm SO sick of hearing about her.
23Yeah, see I kind of agree on this getting way too much coverage. I don't agree with the pictures...I think they are too much for a 15 year old. But look at all of the publicity she's gotten out of it. Whether celebs day they don't like seeing themselves on the news and in magazines it's bull they all love it and need it. The media is just fueling the fire...if anything she's only learned what truly sells...
24She's very young. There is plenty of time to screw up and fix herself again.
25Other: Who Cares? She is a 15-year-old Disney actress. Tabloid gossip can be fun, but when gossip blogs post entries titled "Slut! Slut! Slut!" about a FIFTEEN year old girl (::cough:: Perez Hilton...), I think the public and media has gone way too far with chastising this poor girl.
26I knew she was well on her way to ending up like this when she said "I'll never be like Britney"...
27What freaking lesson? Parents need to stop making famous teenager's their kid's role models. She is going through puberty and she is going to want to start showing off a sexier image. Like it or not. It is a natural fact of life unless you are totally shielded from the real world by overprotective parents. She is a developing human being; not Disney's robot. Or at least you shouldn't be.
28Am I the only one that finds it a little odd that a 15-year-old self-professed virgin loves Sex and the City?!?
29Yeah. The lesson that controversy sells magazines, boost ratings, makes you a househould name, which in turn makes you way more money.
30Why does Miley have to be the one to learn the lesson? Why can't media and society learn that sexually exploiting young women makes those same young women think that *being* sexually exploited is part of being a grown-up?
31jonesie you wrote it prefect, i wouldnt ever say that miley is a role model for my children because the only role model in my childrens lives is me, they love to watch her show and sing and dance along but thats it, role model is someone that has done great like martin luther king, rosa parks, john f kennedy, that is a role model, if you have a celeb or a teeny bopper as an idol or your childrens idol something is wrong
32well you can't say that you didn't think this was going to happen. it's just sad to think about it. she was this 'holier than thou' type person who you knew was going to fall from grace. i hope that it all works out for her - but you knew that disney was going to have to do something. it looks like hillary duff still has the company in a good place since she's the one that hasn't done anything stupid just yet.
33Good point jonesie!
34"Why can't media and society learn that sexually exploiting young women makes those same young women think that *being* sexually exploited is part of being a grown-up?"
jonesie!
35I think this has all been blown a bit out of proportion, and I hope she learns that she is i the public eye, and everything she does will eventually be criticized by someone...
36The hoopla surrounding this is absurd. It's Annie Lebowitz for crying outloud. It's not as if she posed for Playboy. Teen girls these days show off more skin when they go to prom.
37Candizzle, i was thinkin the same thing i mean im 21 and i dont wants my parents to know i watch the show... :S
38Maybe this is all one big conspiracy to get more attention and show some pretty pics of Miley and her dad. Not being a pervert, that is all I see. God could you imagine if she kissed her dad in public at this point. Everyone would be crying incest.
39I think the world is going to be severely disappointed when Miley turns out to be a boring Hilary Duff type of Disney star.
She seems way too normal and close to her family to wig out and turn wh*re.
Brit and Linds seemed to just do that naturally due to their mother's weird parenting (or lack of).
Miley's parents seem a bit more stabilized than theirs were.

41Aren't we all putting just a little to much in the expectation department on a 15 year old girl? 15 year olds screw up. I sure did. So did my friends. My brother. My cousins. Based on family stories, so did my mum, my dad, my aunts and uncles....
And I'm really finding it depressing to see some expressing an expectation of this girl turning into a 'wh*ore' or a 'slut' (Ye Gods, I truely hate those words, they should immediately be placed in the no-no column with the racial slurs).
She's 15. Let her make mistakes. That's how 15 year olds learn. Don't expect her to be perfect. Don't wait in anticipation to fulfill some antiquated outline of a 'loose woman'. Let her take her steps into adulthood, let her stumble like we all did, try to be a little more understanding and remember being that age.
42she's 15 i don't even want to remember what i was doing at 15
43I've said this twice, but I'll say it again
People cannot expect her to keep up this 'squeaky clean image'. The public shouldn't look to kids her age who need to grow up to be 'role models' for their own kids. Kids need role models who are around them, not some manufactured, fake image generated by the media. Perhaps this is the REAL Miley? Perhaps people should let her be herself. Trying to make her feel like she needs to apologise for being herself is utterly stupid. That's when you get headcases like Britney on your hands. It gets too much, you never lived your life the way you wanted to, and suddenly one day...you feel completely free, and go wild.
It must be tough pretending to be someone you're not. There are pictures, and she poses like a 15 yr old who is going to do this ..slightly skanky stuff. If she was *actually* the way the media and Disney make her out to be, stories like this wouldn't exist.
44I wouldn't say Miley's parents are doing a good job as parents but they sure got a great sense of business. The overexposure this girl's been getting lately is surreal and I still don't get what the big fuss is all about. I don't find her interesting WHATSOEVER! What I do get is why these kind of stories are more appealing to everybody, and that's the lesson Miley's learning. It's not about staying out of the spotlight for 2 days, it's whether or not they see this as good publicity. And btw, I don't care how many times she apologizes, that's part of the plan.. just how britney's reps kept suggesting she was a virgin when all she was being was a skanky teen.
45there are 15 year olds all over the country taking pictures 10x worse than the ones she took, but just because she is famous its some sort of scandal.
46i feel bad for her.
Let's drop this and let her get on with her life. She made a mistake (she's young) and a well-respected photog should never had let this happen in the first place. I don't think much of Annie. I think the worse thing is for her to have to live with over and over by the media and the negative people who make these negative comments. Everyone has already predicted that she will become wild, out of control, drug and alcohol addicted, etc., etc. Leave her alone.
47Sabi, I don't see what the fuss is about either. I find her incredibly annoying, and I'm from the UK!
48I guess I'm tired of these talentless (wake up people, the girl can't sing. Seriously.) being told by Disney and those other kids channels that they can act and sing. Disney has gone waaay downhill.
Based on the one song of hers I've heard, she seems to have that mediocre Britney voice--no range, and little expression beyond a certain adolescent-sex-kitten cooing--that can sound decent, but only with a hell of a lot of production and electronic manipulation behind it.
49Which, at least, is still more than what people like Heidi Montag have.
