Just in time to get settled in before Cannes, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their four kids have relocated to France. The family is staying at Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen's gorgeous villa in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera — um, must be nice — from now through the film festival, but are still rumored to be looking for a place to buy in the area. Beyond having an amazing view of the Mediterranean, the estate has a staff of 12. In February we reported that Angelina wanted to have her new baby in France in honor of her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, so it sounds like this stay may be until there are more Jolie-Pitts! Hopefully this means we'll see more family film festival time while they're all abroad.

11Brad's not looking so hot lately. Guys like George Clooney, Patrick Dempsey and Lenny Kravitz just get better looking with age. Brad is starting to look like an average middle-aged dude. Maybe he can become a member of the "formerly hot male superstar" club along with Russell Crowe and Robbie Williams.

17i agree mello, i know i remember reading about what angelina said in one of her interviews about her mom not being the parisian-french woman people thought she was. there's nothing pretentious in that really...
18uuum French-Canadians are for the most part originally from France...i mean their ancestries were settlers from France and they still maintain a very strong cultural bond with France mainly through the language and the type of typical french songs they are fond of. And many do have dual citinzenships as French citizens still emigrate in Quebecq where they can easily get the candaian nationality and many families have relatives in both countries. As for "Bertrand", it is definitely a french name...even the spelling is 100 % french.
And most French know that Jolie is French related through her roots. I remembered once seeing her in a shown on french TV and the interviewer was telling her about her french roots and her name and that she was like her name 'très Jolie'. she blushed and timidly thanked him in french.
As for Jolie's father he is partly of cech decent.

30Cap Ferrat is a beautiful small town on the Med. Lucky for them to be able to stay there. I hope they make it to the small church nestled on a hillside with a fantastic statue. The graveyard for Belgium soldiers from WW2. Not on the tourist must see destination but worth seeing. We were in awe. A very quiet and serene place. You do not even see it until you walk through a grove of pines and then, there it is in all of it's glory.
