Anyone else bothered that pregnant teens get visits from celebrities? Surely a celebrity that can identify with their situation is better than just a pregnant celebrity.

Aww, that's nice. However, I'd be bothered with giving gifts to real-life Junos. She could've helped homeless pregnant women or something like that, if you ask me.

I understand what you all are saying about pregnant teens. But, also, once the deed is done, any type of encouragement to stay in school and take care of themselves and their babies should be welcome.

She's also a role model as an unwed mother, something some people look down upon.

I'm not sure how much of an advocate I am of giving resources to pregnant high school aged people...it's a hard subject because I don't want to encourage it but at the same time, they definitely need help. Oh well, Alba looks gorgeous in that dress...but her making an appearance like that at a school might be just glamorizing pregnancy! Pop culture has such a strong influence on teens - do we really need to make having a baby seem so chic?? Haha...geez!

I think we should take bets how long her and fat-wallet Cash will last .... 7 months from the time the baby is born. That's my bet- He'll be out on the curb.

Well that was very nice of her. I just hope she helped girls who REALLY need it. Not rich teens who dont need any help.

I think that people should give back in a way that is meaningful - it makes the gesture genuine. So I am sure it meant a lot to the girls she visited.

Yeah I think there is a big problem with promoting teenage pregnancy, which is what she is doing in some form, no matter what you say. I work at a high school where I see far too many teenage girls "knocked up." Today, in fact, I saw a pregnancy test information booklet floating around the parking lot! These girls lose precious time as an adolescent as well as many opportunities for their futures. I know I will hear some people who say "I did it and I'm fine" blah blah; there are always exceptions, but as a teacher in a public school system, I say what she is doing is sending the wrong message to our teens. Why not take up a charity to help babies after they are born rather than be seen (and publicized) giving out mothering advice at a high school?
