I can't really figure out her phenomena.

I don't know why she's giving the photogs the finger...she's lucky people are even mildly still interested in her. In my mind, she's pretty much faded into oblivion. She needs to maintain some sort of public image - or she'll never be in demand again.

I know I am in the minority but I really like her. She's totally natural unlike all of these other made-up fake bimbos floating around Hollywood. She doesn't succumb to what she is "supposed" to be, she's just herself.

I'm starting to dislike her little by little, she just seems so rude and unappreciative all the time. It's not like she gets hounded like Victoria Beckham and even she's graceful.

Also, I don't understand the mentality "she should be grateful" she's is being followed by the paparazzi. Of course I eat this stuff up (hello, I am here), but I don't think one person (well, besides the Beckhams!) on this earth would enjoy having every moment of their lives outside of their home exposed for the world. Yes these people have great lives and lots of money, but having no privacy is a huge price to pay.

I think The Virgin Suicides and it's following is what keeps her popular. All Spider-man fans seem to suggest that she is miscast as Mary Jane (as a Spider-man fan, I certainly think she is). In fact, both of her Sofia Coppola movies. She used to look cute and healthy when she was younger but she just has this really scruffy/unwashed air about her the last few years. It disappeared briefly when she was promoting Marie Antoinette but now I see it's back, fiercer than ever. Which is a pity.

Btw, the only people who ever looked cool in those glasses were Kurt Cobain and latterly Francis Bean. Everyone else looks like an idiot.

She's only so-so as an actress, I find her to be extremely unattractive, and she has a very arrogant attitude. Beaches, parks and clubs are papparazzi infested...even minor celebs know that. So why not just ignore them, and finish reading Carl Sagan. Honestly, flipping the bird is so rude.
