It's going to take more than showing up to one court appearance on time to impress the judge after all of her antics. Since she's still under conservatorship herself, (i.e. unable to care for herself,) I doubt there will be much movement in the visitation.

If a person is deemed by the court unable to take care of their own affairs, the courts don't hand them small children to care for.

I still think she needs more time to prove she is fit to have any kind of custody with the kids.

although it is wonderful that she finally made it to a court date on time and apparently showered and dressed appropriately, she needs to do more to earn the right of a mother. it is EXPECTED that she be there and that she dress and behave properly. it takes more than a few short months and a new hair do to be a good parent. she needs more time to make sure that she won't go back to her old ways.

Kevin is getting rattled having to care for the boys all the time, I read where he's actually going to tell the court that Britney can have much more time with them just so he can have some private time of his own.

Her hair was done like that for her HIMYM appearance. They did her hair similarly last time. Give it like two days and it'll be changed.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. She won't win full custody back but I'm thinking the judge will reward her a bit for the progress she's made.

Who cares if she looks beautiful or not? She's been through some real mental strain and that can take a toll on everything.

Bottom line is she's clean and appears to be back on the right track. I've never been a fan, but since finding out she has bipolar illness, I'm rooting for her all the way and hope she continues to recover and stay on the right path.

it really is nice to see that she's changing her habits, even if it has to do with the fact that sam isn't running her life and her parents are. i think that it says something that her parents are supporting her, and that maybe it means that she'll be a better parent in return.

i'm sure that kevin would be really happy to have more 'free time' although i'm sure that he's got 'help' or a nanny to watch the kids since he manages to go to vegas and all those other places.

we'll just have to wait and see what the updates are there.

Hmm... I wouldn't call her my idol. And I don't know for sure that she has bipolar disorder, but the way she acts certainly suggests that. A lot of the reason I hope Britney makes a PERSONAL comeback (career aside) is that I see a lot of similarities between myself and her. I was diagnosed with biopolar disorder and after leaving my psycho redneck husband (sound familiar anyone?) I'm finally getting my life back together. Keep it up Britney... you're on your way.

Eh. Maybe she's properly medicated this time? Having Psycho Sam give her whatever medication he deemed appropriate is different than having people who genuinely care about you find a doctor that has your best interests in mind.

I think she looks great! Now, I have never been on "team "Britney" but it almost seems like everyone wants the girl to fail...it is very clear the girl is sick with a mental disorder (not to mention the substance abuse that may/may not be still going on). I think she looks great compared to what we've seen of her in the last few years. She showed up on time, is re connecting with her family, back at the gym. She is doing GOOD! Its all in small steps and I think we should be praising her. Maybe someday soon the old (or new and IMPROVED) will make her debut.

She looks so nervous in the pictures. Even the most bitter hater should give her some props for going and waiting nearly an hour before the thing even started and staying for court. In fact, I think she's still there. Not crazy about the Kim Vo overdone colors in her hair though, but otherwise looks great.

Drugs is the more likely culprit. And the desperate need for attention.

For the record, she was not REQUIRED to come to this. She was nearly 30 minutes early (Kevin 15 minutes late). Of course she made metrics ton loads of mistakes and yes she has to prove herself, but even the smallest things are a sign she is moving forward. That is the point here. I don't think custody will change much, if at all, but they should give her some encouragement for getting on the right path. The fact is this isn't about you not liking her, or her being "trashy". It's about two kids who miss and love their mother and need her well enough for her to be in their life.

But you also have to know her dad can't make her comply as much as you are thinking he can. He has no power over her person or medicinal treatment. She has to do some of it herself. Of course people every day go to court early (expect Kevin ) and I'm not saying give her a million dollars and a pony for doing what she should. But I'm saying acknowledge she had improved.
