Nicole and Joel took some time out of their busy schedules to do a little giving back, heading to non-profit The Children's Collective in LA yesterday. They left their own little model-in-training back home, but in the Harper's interview Nicole explains how Harlow played an important part in why she and Joel have been doing more good than ever. For instance about their charitable baby shower she said, "I got like 10 cribs and 20 strollers. For one little girl! So we wanted to take the gifts we got and give them to the people who actually needed them." Between this and their foundation, it looks like Harlow has changed this couple in more ways than one.

3It's good that they're very involved with so many charities right now. Well mostly her, I don't recall her being so involved before she met Joel.

5i think that it's really great that they are giving back. it's nice to see that celebs are giving back in tangible things - and not just donating millions of dollars. at least if you're working with an organization like they are - you can see first hand the impact that you are having on people.

7chellybean....unfortunantly with regards to Burma/Myanmar, there isn't anything anyone can do. Even the UN has found itself forced to suspend shipments according to today's news because the regime there is confiscating shipments and refusing to allow aid workers into the country. It seems the regime just wants everyone to drop stuff off and go, refusing the experience and expertise of various aid agencies who know what to do and how to do it.
So I doubt any celeb, no matter how rich or how super, could do much of anything to help there beyond donating cash that may or may not actually go to providing food, medicine and shelter to the people of Burma/Myanmar. And politically, that situation is pretty delicate because the regime in Burma/Myanmar isn't that thrilled at the concept of diplomatic relations with other countries. They won't even let China send people inside the country, all China and the rest of the ASEAN countries can do is air drop aid that might or might not reach the people who actually need it.
At least Nicole and Joel are helping people and that help is tangible and real and reaching those who need it, that's what should count.

10I don't think Joel loves Nicole, myself. I never ever see it in his expression or on his face when he is with her. He always looks preoccupied, or sort of unhappy. Maybe he is still with her because they had a child. She got pregnant, he knew that he was stuck with her now. Its not like they were madly in love (I don't think, anyways) and ready to start a family. It WAS a surprise pregnancy, after all.

22I so heart her and am really glad that she's involved with so many things. I've always thought of her as really intelligent person, and I hated that the only Nicole most people knew was her as Paris' sidekick. My family is a big Lionel fan and so I've always known about her in abstract. She really is quite talented as she dances and plays instruments.
PS - Out of curiousity why do those that have nothing positive to say, waste their time with negative comments? Just curious...
