It may just be time to scrape the last vestiges of your late 90s Tiger Beat photo collection off the wall -- Prince William (or Wills if you're naughty) is getting ready to marry his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton. Silent pubescent crush tear. Rumor has it that the Prince told members of Parliament that he is planning on asking Kate to be his bride (does that make her a princess?!? i don't think so, but it would be rad if it did). If this ends up being the case, well, congrats to the very lucky Kate...and as for the rest of you...isn't Harry the dreamy one these days anyway?

13I think that the reason Diana became a Princess is because she was Lady Diana Spencer before. She was titled, which is how she became a princess. 20Harry's given name is Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor. Harry is a nickname. So Molly's technically right, even if nobody calls him Henry.
Might she become a Princess because he is in line to assume the throne and Camilla is not a princess? When Charles married Diana she became a princess, but when Andrew married Sarah she became the Duchess of York because he wasn't directly in line for the thone anymore. I don't even know what Sophie's title is, but she isn't a princess either.

24I think that the reason that Camilla didn't get a title is because of the fact that she'd been previously married, and had a title from that marriage. We also don't know that Charles would be King. The Queen could just pass over Charles and go straight to Wills. And Kate wouldn't necessarily be the Queen. The Queen's husband is a Prince.

34Kate will become a princess automatcially when she marries Prince William. When he becomes King she become a Queen automatically, but she's not technically a "ruling queen" like Elisabeth is now. It doesn't matter wheather she's noble or just everyday joe. The reason Fergie was never styled a princess was because the Queen gave Andrew a new title-Duke of York and therefore she had to take that title instead of Princess. Just as Camillia took Charles title of Duke of Cornwall instead of Princess of Wales[ which she should have tech done but becasue of the out cry over Dinana didn't].If Harry doesn't receive a new title such as a Dukedom when he marries than his wife will also be a princess. And Philip is still a prince and refered as one as well, the Queen just gave him another title, just like Andrew has.

I think the monarchy in England is in serious danger of disintigrating, and a popular couple like Wills and Kate would be just the type to pull the monarchy out of the media hole they've been in since the whole Diana debacle.
And let's hope she does know about it. I don't think anyone would want to willingly thrust themselves in such a spotlight without having many long discussions with their partner. I actually think the best marriages don't start with surprise proposals, they start with good conversation and a mutual, thoughout decision by both people that they want to be together for the rest of their lives.
