The Sex and the City movie made its very first premiere in London today, and the lovely ladies certainly did it up for the red carpet. Usually we'd expect Kim Cattrall to be the scandalous member of the group, but she and Kristin Davis kept it classy in red and left the revealing look to Cynthia Nixon. Of course, Sarah Jessica Parker drew the most attention with her crazy acorn springtime headpiece. Carrie would probably approve, but what do you think of all the looks? One thing is for sure — the big event is only getting us excited about our own special screening of the movie. Everthing but the big headpiece are great
1I think that as usual, SJP looking freaking ridiculous.

4Okay, go look at the second to last picture on this and tell me that I'm not seeing things! It looks so strange.
5The second to last picture looks like a stand-up of her, or a Photoshop where she was pasted in.
6That hat is sick. Yes, Sarah Jessica we KNOW you are getting $10+ million, Kim's getting $6 million, and the other two are getting $2 million a piece. You don't have to keep reminding us that you are The Producer and The Stah.

19I don't think the headpiece is anything but a marketing technique. It's something SJP's character would wear, not SJP herself. I think the headpiece is gorgeous, but something I'd want to admire in a museum or on a Runway, not in 'real life'.
20ok, first cythnia nixon looks fabulous in that black dress and i don't even care for her that much! and i'm always always ahuge fan of sjp ... but the monster centerpiece on her head does in fact look a bit silly. but she still looks incredible in the dress!

34i'm still so insanely jealous that the movie's premiered somewhere and i didn't get to see it. i would love love love to go to the premier - and i can't wait for the movie itself to come out.
as for the outfits...i'm impressed that cynthia is so daring, and well../SJP - that's her usual carrie style i guess.

40sjp's outfit looks great...except for that hat! beautiful dress but she killed it with that weird nest contraption on her head. whatev, the girls look beautiful and cynthia nixon stole the carpet from underneath them she looks radiant. i hear 2 more sequels are in the works! so excited! hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more red carpet fashion from the girls
41SJP has to look high fashion and a bit silly, because that's the movie, that's Carrie. The two red dresses are lovely.

43the hat goes with the dress. it's an ensemble. the acorn/fruit whatever it is on the actual hat is the same pattern/texture as the detail on the dress.
it's not that big a deal. if she weren't wearing something that rides the line between ridiculous and chic, then i'd be disappointed!
