The fun times in Cannes kicked off today, and there was no shortage of star power out on the red carpet for the opening premiere of Blindness. Co-stars Cate Blanchett and Gael Garcia Bernal led the pack, and Eva Longoria and Mischa Barton were just a couple of the lovely ladies who lit up the red carpet in their brightly colored dresses. Natalie Portman looked adorable as always in her little purple number, representing the festival's jury along with Sean Penn. We can't wait to see all of our favorite stars strutting their stuff over the next week and a half — considering that the buzz started with Angelina confirming her twins, we can only imagine what other fun surprises are in store for us.

49I can't get over how gorgeous Cate is! She is a walking fashion orgasm, LOVE HER! And whomever insulted the skin toned dress issue-fashion news for you-it worked on Cate. Maybe not everyone, but Cate is one of the few who knows how to make it work. She is a vision! I love Natalie's look, but the dress is a bit ugh for me with all of the busy ruffles up top. Mischa looks good but her lipstick color is a bit too pale.
