Is there a movie festival going on? Because the only topic at Cannes so far seems to be Angelina Jolie's twins! This morning Angie looked radiant in white showing up for the Kung Fu Panda photo call with her costars, while the interview alongside Jack Black where he divulged the double big news aired on The Today Show. It would seem that Angelina's costars are hell bent on leaking all the baby news, because Dustin Hoffman spilled the beans on a supposed due date — August 19! Seems a bit late, no? In the interview Angelina gushed:
- On being pregnant: “I'm very happy . . . I'm like most women, I love being pregnant.” She added that pregnancy makes “you feel like more like a woman than you've ever felt. You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby.”
- On her children's heritage: “They have a real pride in who they are,” she said. “Our daughter's very proud that she's African. And our boys are very proud that they're Asian — they know about their country . . . down to their food or their flags or their music.”
- On teaching them about the world: “We keep nothing from them when we take them around the world, so they're more resilient than we are as adults." Jolie added that her curious kids “ask great questions about life. They ask questions about war that are poignant and spot-on because they’re the questions we should all be asking ourselves.”
Check out the video after the jump, but I'm not sure I've ever seen Jolie so animated (heh) talking about her family, the movies, the babies, and how popular Mr. Black is amongst the Jolie-Pitt clan. I can't help but love where she's at right now with her family lounging around happily in France awaiting those two new arrivals.

Someone put this woman on birth control. She already has too many.

2lol-
she looks amazing! So happy!
3aww angie
soo gorgeous!
4She looks beautiful.
5She is so cute pregnant!
6Can't wait for August.
7ummm, most women who get pregnant love being pregnant. blech...
8wow she looks gorgeous, umm i doubt her kids ask about the war just like harlow talks already
9gorgeous dress! she is already huge and has months to go!
10God I LOVE me some Jack Black.
Miss Angie is finally wearing an interesting dress with a print on it! I feel like its been years since I've only seen her in basic neutral solids!
11O yea and it looks like she finally got a hair cut.
12I love her dress.
13Dustin is so endearing
14She looks gorgeous. And I'd disagree, amandahugnkiss. Most of my friends complain the entire time they're pregnant. Not that they don't deserve to: swollen feet, nausea, headaches, invasive doctor visits, etc.
15she looks soo beautfiul when she's smiling and happy
16She looks so pretty! She truly looks happy!
17She looks so pretty!
18Pink...I suppose it depends on how interested the kids are about world events (I'm thinking in particular Maddox here, since he's the oldest, I somehow don't think the others ask unless he's started). When I was a kid, the Falklin war was on, and I recall asking my dad about it.
Which was a big mistake....lol...my dad is very conservative and I got a rant about commies going to the bathroom on the marble floors of palaces. Which was weird, because commies didn't have anything to do with that event based on stuff I've read about it recently.
Yeah...so anyway.....Maddox might ask questions about stuff like that when it comes to his attention, like if the news is on or a paper or magazine is laying around. That I can believe.
19ummm, most women who get pregnant love being pregnant. blech...
20------------------------------------------------------------
There is a video of this or I saw it on Access Hollywood and she actually said "and like most women..."
Quick! Someone get Molly to correct it! HURRY!
21I am sorry but it sounds like she and her costars are using her pregnancy to promote the film. BTW I finally like the dress she is wearing. I never seem to like her choice of fashion, but at least this one looks good.
22She would look so much better without her weird tattoos!!
23She would look so much better without her weird tattoos!!
24lol....proof that you can't please all of the people all of the time. I don't like this dress myself. I think it's the collar that annoys me.
25estelle why point the fingers lets all get along like the last brangelina post
, anyway i was
kidding when i said she looks gorgeous just to show the fans that we can be civil i do think she looks pretty, dont know about the dress, history i still dont think the kids asked about the
war they are to busy, unless they watch the news thats the only way to know about the war, as a child, just my opinion
26DOUBLE TROUBLE
27A pregnant Angelina Jolie is everyone's favorite topic of conversation at the Cannes Film Festival, where she was on hand to promote Kung Fu Panda with costars Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman during a Thursday photo call. The actress's costars each revealed details about her pregnancy – including her Aug.19 due date – to reporters.
no conspiracy theories please for the love of brangelina
28dahg...that's one big mama!! And she is only 6 months along...yikes, it will fun to see how much bigger she will get...and how will her tiny frame support that much belly! *lol*
I don't particularly care for the dress per se...but I do think its a nice change from constant black on her.
29Pink, yeah, that's the point I was trying to make in my ramble. That if the news was on or a newspaper or news magazine was laying around and (likely Maddox) caught it, then the questions might be asked. That was the only reason I asked my dad about the Falklins war, because I saw them talking about it on the news.
30Coming from Cambodia, I'm sure Maddox is pretty interested in war and things like that. His country was almost destroyed by the Khmer Rouge regime, they suffered Japanese occupation in WWII and suffered throughout the Vietnam War.
I think it's great they don't hide this stuff from their kids. They confront every aspect of their history and culture, good and bad.
31lol pink - its true...we can be civil...even tho we don't necessarily care for her!! hahha
32I don't think she'll make it to Aug 19. I'm betting sometime in July.
33Hey guys, the only part of the interview I saw was the part above and otherwise from transcript, but I'm happy to change if that quote is wrong in transcript!
34Idalia, Michael K on dlisted (snarky version of popsugar) joked that Jackie Chan might "accidentally" release the sex of the babies in his next interview...
I question really how far off that is though. That's my one beef about the jolie-pitts is just how much they seem to talk family when they are promoting movies. When they are promoting films they will share just about everything, like what sort of birth control they use. (uh tmi) Nothing is sacred when there's a movie to promote!
And sadly, we are so desperate for information on their lives, we just gobble it up. Frankly, I think they are such a cute family but the way people worship them is just sort of freaky.
She does however look really beautiful here. Her dress is lovely and her hair looks the best it ever has!
35i think it is good too but these children way to young to know about the how old was mad when he was given to her, or maybe he does know what do i know
36“I'm very happy ... Unlike most women, I love being pregnant.”
Unlike most women?!?!? Does she have to confirm that she think she's better than the rest of us. I know plenty of women who love or loved being pregnant. Normally I wouldn't jump all over something like this, but that quote strikes me in a very "holier than thou" way. Sorry to all the Angelina fans out there. I don't even hate the woman, but come on.
37mk post on this was f*cking funny
38Estelle, yeah, I've got a ton of stories about my dad's rants, he's a good man with a big heart, but he and I are on totally different ends of the spectrum, politics wise.
I freely admit to sometimes egging him on by making statements I know will set him off.
Maddox's native land is fascinating, I watched a few programs recently on Angkor Wat (did I spell that right?).
39Thank you for pointing out the error in that quote because it REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. (obviously)
40thanks molly you rock rocks
41
42pink, I just think that if you're gonna hate on someone, be hating on them with accurate information! What was written on Pop isn't accurate, so I pointed it out to save 54 pages of discussion on it later on.
Anyways, I still think she looks gorgeous. I'm a bit miffed that Lucy Lui wasn't at the photocall though, she was doing press all yesterday so it's not like she wasn't in Cannes at all.
43I have a two year old and she is already asking about God and those things, so I guess they could talk abot war at six years old, specially if your parents are political. And I hated being pregnant!...
44Yeah you spelt it right history.
It's really sad what that region has had to endure.
I love history anyway so that sort of thing fascinates me.
45I love the dress.
46She was just as giddy and giggly when she was pregnant with Shiloh.
47Angelina looks beatiful and happy and she's not in black. She sure does love being the center of attention, doesn't she? And she's going to have more babies. She's just a babymaking machine now.
48OMG treb...i am in love with your avatar....LOL
49Estelle, history is amazing (although I think my username gives away my own fascination with the subject...lol). I have found myself wondering if she's taken Maddox to Angkor Wat, or if she's waiting until he's a little older.
