Britney Spears has been working hard lately, from her trip to the recording studio last night to appearances on How I Met Your Mother, so it's no big deal that the pop star could use a little vacation. Here's the twist — according to ET she's on her way to Costa Rica right now with Mel Gibson! While this isn't the first time Brit and Mel have spent some time together, he still seems like a interesting choice of vacation buddies. The good thing is that Jamie is along to keep an eye on Brit, so maybe some fun in the sun is all she needs to recover from her little car accident this week.

18oh blob-- I think I lost faith in her comeback a long time ago. I truly think she is done. She's not well, she needs to focus on her health both mental and physical, not to mention getting her kids back on more then a "visitor" basis. I truly feel sorry for this woman - Her going bats**t crazy was not her fault, she was just a victim of her environment and her circumstance. She honestly looks like if you stood too close to her you could smell her stench! GROSS. If I were a guy I wouldn't give her the time of day, money or no money. 41Many medications used for mental illness cause you to gain weight. She's probably taking multiple meds. It would explain her constantly being at the gym, she's probably fighting against it.
I do feel bad for her. It really does seem like she's working on getting better. But the masses turn on her from day to day.

That photo that someone linked (the on where she looked really pregnant) looked photoshopped to me. I think she's experiencing weight fluctuation from meds. I feel really bad for her. It's sad, but the first thing I thought of in that first pic is that she reminds me of my grandmother. She had big sunglasses like that back in the late 80s/early 90s. I wish people would stop wearing those! They are not good on anyone!

It seems like her fans are all like, "She's back, woo!" when she drops weight and washes her hair. If she gains weight, her fans give up.
I think she created a career for herself based not on MUSIC or performance, but solely on image. Her career prognosis looks great or grim depending on the girl's body. I almost feel sad for her, but she created it. I guess what depresses me most is the fact that her fans will like someone only when they look hot.
