It's no secret that we've been counting down the days until the Sex and the City movie — especially our private prescreening! — but we aren't surprised that some people are getting a little sick of all the hype. These days it seems like the four fabulous ladies are everywhere while the first reviews of the movie have only been so-so. Between the huge amount of hype and the lukewarm reviews, we want to know — are you still excited for the Sex and the City movie?

i'm actually really tired of all the sex and the city hype...they've pushed it so hard, now its annoying!
1never watched the show. couldn't get into it at all.
2in all honesty, i never liked the show, but ive tolerated it.
all this hype is just pushing me further and further away from seeing it "on a whim" or "to see what all the fuss is about." i really dont care anymore.
3i don't really care for it. i've only watched a few episodes with my friend who is in love with it. when it started i was abit too young for the content.i'm all excited cause i'm going to see it with my girlfriends who i haven't seen for a while bcoz our plans keep falling out due to work & uni!!!
satc girls night out is set in stone!
4not planning on seeing this one, never even seen the show
5never saw the show, so I don't plan on seeing the movie
6I'm looking forward in it!!! Love SATC!
7I love the girls, I love the show, and I hope I love the movie. SATC is something hat grows on you. It's not a show you have to force on yourself, but you have to give the characters a chance to get involved within you.
8SATC is an amazing experience if you allow it to get inside you.
My friends and I can't wait. We already have our tickets. We bought them after we found out that our first choice theater, which was doing a SATC and Cosmos event, was already sold out. It would have been great to go to that. This was in the description: "Ladies, want to experience this estrogen-rich film without being burdened by the presence of eye-rolling, buzz-killing, one-thing-wanting dicks? Gather your best friends and make your way to the Ritz for one of our special 'Ladies Only' shows!"
9As a fan of the show I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the film.. The hype is just what comes with a big film release.. and it does have a huge following. Also it's trying to compete with Indie so they're going to try and make the most amount of noise! I'll be interested to see how many guys are at the cinema.. It's such a girly film! Can't wait..
10loved the show but dont understand why the premeire in London? they lost my vote. should have been a big bash in NY.
11Remember the big series finale? It was like years of really great foreplay led to really bad sex... but... I loved it just for that beautiful dresses Carrie wore.
If the movie is horrible, I will still love seeing the girls together and all dressed up again.
(P.S., so true, barjar -- premiering anywhere but New York seems anti-SATC.)
12yes! and i hope that big and carrie FINALLY get married!!!!
13I CANNNOTTT WAIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT
14i totally understand all the hype!!!!
I've never really watched SATC so I'm kinda excited
15I never understood why women enjoyed this show. They act like men with vaginas. It's disturbing. So, yeah, I'm ready for this movie to come out so I can stop hearing about it.
16I cann't wait. I get so excited when the commercials come on TV. Could never get tired of SATC
17soooooooo excited
18Enough with the hype already! I really don't get why they needed to make a movie, as the storyline of the series had been fizzling out for a long time.
And as to the clothes? Uh no!
19can't wait! i am going to a charity screening with drinks/appetizers/gift bags the day it is opening. even if the movie disappoints- i still have to see it even if just for the clothes! satc was my favorite show in high school and college and it be nice to revisit it all.
but i caught a couple of episodes from the first season on tv the other day...funny to see how the show changed from the first season. carrie's less daring wardrobe, the weird testimonials from non-characters, samantha and miranda's bad hair...good to see how the show evolved, hahah.
20I'm excited to see it, but I'm tired of every other post on here being about it, actually. That's getting on my nerves more than any of their promotions.
21I think that the reason that they are advertising so much for it is that it is not very good...
22I liked the show.....8 years ago!
Now, Im over it.
No Movie for me. I'll wait till I can NetFlix it.
23I said yes...
and this is how I see it for people who said "no"... I'm always complaining to everyone that it's so annoying now how everything is just 'known' in terms of movies and TV shows and all that bit. So it takes away from the magic and 'realness' of a movie or a tv show. What everyone always tells me is that I actually go LOOKING for everything since I'm always going to blogs and celebrity sites, so of course I'm gonna know about the 'hype'..so I think we are dooming ourselves in the end anyway with all these blogs and gossips mags and the internet and the celebrity shows. I remember when it was an event when a CD was released or a movie was released and you had to WAIT to buy it at a store or go see it in the theater..but now it's all about 'sources say this, sources say that' and all about 'leaks' and stuff. So this blog/internet/celebrity mags and tv shows are pretty much ruining things for me. I never really go to the theater anymore. I dunnoo....this really makes sense to me.
24yes. im so excited!!!!
25I honestly feel like they have just the right amount of Hype... you don't see these girls on the cover of every magazine. They aren't on every talk show. I don't see the preview every commercial break on tv. They are doing a great job of promotion without being annoying. Plus we've all waited years for this. Let the fans have their moment of fun. It will all be over soon.
26I still can't wait!
27It was the blogs and the paparazzi/media that created the hype from the 1st day of shooting not the film makers. Aside from all the early interest, SATC not getting any more PR than any other big summer movie like Iron Man or Indiana Jones. I love action (aka guy) movies but I think it's awesome that a female centered movie about 40-somethings no less can have a chance for a big premiere. Hollywood needs a little more estrogen.
28i cannot wait for this movie!!!!
29i've never watched the show, so idk.
30To those complaining about it not premiering in London first, SJP was asked about it in an interview and she said it's how New Line has traditionally done it. The studio sells to it's foreign markets first. So blame New Line about not premiering in NYC.
31YES!! Everytime I see the trailer on tv, I stop and get goosebumps!! I cannot wait, I have a group of seriously 30 girls coming with me, it's all I'm waiting for!! Besides Indy, of course.
32I'm still can't wait for it. I love the clothes and the characters.
33I love SATC, but I guess I'm not that excited anymore. We'll see.
34I said other, because I was never really excited for the movie. I think I'm one of the few people that never liked the show, so I didn't care when I heard a movie was coming out.
35never saw the show, not excited for the movie
36UGH. EW arrived with 68 pages of Sex and the City. I feel like asking them to return some of my money. Was never a fan and don't need to see that many pages. One to ten you could ignore. Sixty-eight? Come freaking on. Beyond annoying.
37Never made it through a single episode and don't understand the enthusiasm the movie is generating.
38i am still excited about the movie, but i dont like the hype at all!
39I'm still excited for it, although there has been a bit of media overkill. I have also noticed that most of the people who have given the movie harsh reviews have been (1.) men or (2.) people who never/hardly watched the original TV series.
40Yessssssss! I am so excited!
41Yes! Yes! Yes!
42Too boring for me.
43I have some mixed feelings. I was a fan of the show. I suppose there's a part of me that's over it.
44sex and the city for me is something you gradually get into,
45personally I am in love with is and very devoted, lol
can't wait for they movie.
I loved the show, but I'm not that hyped for the movie. I'll watch it when it's on DVD or free on my cable
46Loved the show, was not excited when I hard they were making a movie. I've managed to find the hype charming somehow and haven't even minded some of the spoilers I've heard about. I'm still seeing it, but probably not opening weekend.
47I don't care about the hype, I'm just so looking forward to going to see this with my girlfriends!
48the more they talk about it , the more i get excited to see the movie
49yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!
50I can't wait!
