Exactly as expected, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz tied the knot at her parents' home in Encino, CA on Saturday afternoon. According to People, the ceremony was officiated by Joe. Jessica acted as maid of honor and her date for the night was Tony Romo. Pete's bulldoggie Hemingway acted as ring bearer, though it sounds like there's definitely a baby on the way. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were among the 150 guests as were Donald Faison and CaCee Cobb. Ashlee's rep said, "We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends." The reception was Alice in Wonderland themed. Congrats to the happy couple — we can't wait to hear more details from their big day!

25I think they are entitled to their privacy regarding the pregnancy. That being said, I don't think Pete Wentz needed to deny the pregnancy if she really is. There isn't a reason to lie about it. And since they did get married quickly, I think there is a bun in the oven!

The fact that Joe officiated the wedding is prove of how much control he has over his daughters. Pretty sad if he made them get married to cover a pregnancy.
34I have to agree with the birth control thing? Condoms, the pill, all kinds of stuff. Do they just not use anything and end up pregnant because as much as these people get around (celebs in general) that is quite scary. I am sick of the coy pregnant routine with her. They, as a couple, make me sick. Jessica makes me ill. Tony Romo should run as quickly as he can to stay out of this freaky family. Carrie Underwood is single again. Were they not adorable together? That would make Jess's head explode, no doubt.

38Ha, ha. Of course Papa Joe was the minister, anything to save money. People did say that she was pregnant. Ashlee is just as dumb as her sister. I'm sure they had this shotgun wedding because Joe's a Baptist minister who counseled pregnant teens and Jessica waited 4 years to have sex. The Alice in Wonderland theme was also a theme for Jessica's birthday and she used Jessica's wedding planner. I'm pretty sure the marriage won't last long.

40Okay, her dad is definitely a creeper, but I could definitely see how important it would be to have her own father be the officiant. I just hope this is his last time being involved in this couples relationship, on such a deep level!
