Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz showed off their matching bangs — big day flat iron session! — posing on their wedding day for the cover of this week's People. Of course, thanks to Ashlee's pose and bouquet not only can we not see her dress, but there's no sign of that baby bump. Pete said of his bride, "She looked like a girl right out of a movie." Really though, I think we all know who steals the show on this cover — Hemingway the bulldog and ring bearer. Love him. Also, how hilarious is the picture of Jess and Tony dancing the night away in the corner? I can't wait to see the rest of the photos in the magazine!

My favorite is how People had a banner screaming about the FIRST WEDDING PHOTO!! being available at 10 am today, then it's this photo. Oooooh. Her veil. That was worth the wait.

28I am surprised Ashlee didn't dye her hair back to blond for the wedding. But I am still looking forward to seeing pictures of her and Pete. I think they are so cute together and hope that Papa Joe doesn't mess things up like he did with Nick and Jessica.

30this was ashlee & pete's day right? so isn't it supposed to be about them? its really sad that poppa joe had to go & make it about jessica by forcing a guy who broke up with her to attend & then make them seem like they were all over each other all night. jessica obviously does not care about her sister at all - or she would have just gone by herself, she is such an attention wh*re & will never find happiness. i think this cover says all you need to know about the simpson family.

This was Ashlee's cover, not Jessica's.
Secondly, I really detest Jessica Simpson. She is such a fake person. You can see right through her efforts of trying to be significant. This picture makes me dislike her more. She should have gone to the wedding by herself like a real woman, instead of faking this relationship because she is damn insecure. Tomy probably reinforced his decisionj by attending this wedding with her.

43The pic of Jess and Tony is on there because A. Papa Joe paid People to do so and B. so People can sell magazines. Would Ashlee and Pete alone sell? Probably not. So why not stick Jess and Tony on there to spark people's interests. It's all about marketing.

45I have to agree with most of the comments here. Jessica does not belong on the cover of a story for Ashlee and Pete. She needs to do something on her own that is worthwhile. Please! She looks like an idiot with her stupid dance moves. Seriously someone please tell her what a retard she looks like! Thank goodness Tony is done with her. Now he can move on and she can start to accept the reality of their breakup. She shouldn't have insisted for him to be there. That is really awkward for both of them.

48i hope for them that they have a long marriage. it's interesting to see how different people do things. we all feel like they got married so quickly because of the baby...but then you look at nicole/joel and see that they are waiting, and they are still incredibly happy.
