Britney Spears spent some of her allowance at Lisa Kline yesterday but the pop star is back in the studio so she won't have to worry about those bills pilling up. Brit's ex-boyfriend/producer J.R. Rotem told People that she's working on a new album with him. He said,
"She's great... She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her. She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in, but nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses 'just singing.'"
There's no doubt Ms Brit's got the talent and now that she seems focused again hopefully we'll get to hear a new album by year's end.

if she misses singing she should stay home with her boys and sing to them, listen she might have some natural talent to "entertain" but the girl has no "voice" she isnt a good singer, she can barely dance (if you call what she does dancing) Her focus shouldnt be on dropping more albums (her last one? didnt do so great) her focus should be on raising her boys in the best way possible and it isnt leaving them with nannies or daddy.

How hard is it to sit in a booth, mess around for 12 hours, maybe have one productive hour, for a few weeks/months with a bunch of your friends? And then make a bunch of money because people will buy anything "Britney" whether it stinks or not!
15I say if being in the recording studio is helping her then let her go. It keeps her occupied at least. She may not be the best singer but her songs are catchy and different. I still don't think that she looks pregnant though. I just think she picks out shirts that don't do anything for her.

25Did everyone forget that she can't sing? I love her upbeat music, because it's about the beats and not her voice, but does anyone else remember the trainwreck that was "From the Bottom of my Broken Heart".
26i can't wait to see if she puts out another album. Blackout was pretty good and rathe rsuccessful for her, so hopefully she'll get something else that's good so she can tour and prove that she's back ...

Another album, huh? I know a lot of people are bemoaning the emphasis on her body and looks but if you look at it from a business perspective (it is show business after all), the Britney Brand competitive advantage over the other pop acts was her body and dancing. Take those away and she doesn't have anything else to propel her over the competition. I don't see her as having the ability/desire to reinvent herself that's necessary to stay competitive.
It wasn't enough for her to just say Madonna was her idol or other people's proclamations to make her Madonna's heir apparent. She should have taken notes. It seems to me all she's running on right now is nostalgia for the late 90s/early 00s.
28I'm just afraid that Jive is pushing her for another album, because they want to make money out of her, while she's still hot. Big Wig F***ers! I hope it's her that wants to make an album. I love Blackout, but she had not creative input whatsoever, even if she was the only executive producer. She didn't write or co-write any songs. I hope on the new album that she pours out her emotions and wastes away the talent she has. Isn't the album a bit too early? I mean, 4 years without an album with the old one and now a year later? Oh, Britney. As much as I love her music, she needs to chill back. Hopefully, the new album will be her real "comeback", even though Gimme More and Piece of Me were one of the top 5 singles of her career (Gimme More being the second most successful song by Brit).
29I bet you anything that she gained weight because of her psychiatric meds. Lithium and some of the others can cause a significant weight gain. She still looks far better than she did in the past though. I hope she continues to do well.
30I might be in the minority here, but I LOVED Britney's Blackout album. I think there's a lot of good, upbeat tracks on there. I know it didn't sell so great (I mean, she did like NO press), but in my opinion, Blackout is 1,000,000,000% better than Madonna's new album.

33I definitely agree with you girls- I am already not playing Madonna's CD anymore but Brit is still getting played almost every week in my car. That is such a good album, her best by far.
I would like it if they just re-released Blackout with a couple new songs and new cover art and stuff.
She did co write some songs on Blackout although I'm sure it was not a significant contribution considering her life at that time. She was probably like, "lets get naked, I'm a freak show" and Danja was like, "you want two songs to be called Let's get naked and Freakshow, okay."
34Um, how about the fact that in the midst of Britney's breakdown J.R. Rotem was in the press talking about having sex with Britney and doing her "wheelbarrow style" and that he might be the father of her baby (in one of the many pregnant rumors)? I say pour a little of that haterade on him and his attempts to use Brit (in more ways than one) to promote himself. I'm surprised she still wants to work with him.

47I am all for Britney getting back to work. She has been working on her personal life, her health, and getting more time with her boys. Even KFed's lawyer has said that it will still take more time to get back to having joint custody. Brit is doing everything the judges have asked her to. What the heck is wrong with her working??? AND...whomever said to be there for her boys and not have them with daddy or nannies...when the boys are with Brit they are WITH BRIT. When Sean and Jayden go to Gymboree or school...who takes them??? The bodyguard and the nanny...never KFed. In no way is Britney ever going to please everyone. No matter how hard she tried. I think THAT is what part of her problems are. Her weight being an issue is ridiculous too...I guarantee its partially due to her meds. The girl works out every day.
I personally hope she makes a comeback. I loved most of her albums and I like her pop style. I think deep down she is a good person and wants to be a good mother and still have her career. After all...she has to make money to pay KFed and his lawyer.
