Paris Hilton took Thursday night off from cooking for her man to attend the Summer Stars Party in LA with Benji. She kept things simple in a LBD instead of one of her usually colorful outfits — maybe she was too tired to dress up after working so hard on her new show? On Friday, Paris updated her MySpace blog to let fans know what's happening in her search for a new BFF. Here's more:
Hey everyone! I am so excited, we have finally started taping my new show for MTV. I just want to thank you all for sending in your videos and applications. The response was massive and incredible, we had more applicants then any show in history, so that felt really nice that so many people wanted to be apart of it. I met all the contestants on wednesday night. I had them all meet me at the club Les Deux. I was a little nervous at first cause I always get shy meeting new people. But everyone ended up being very sweet, cool and fun to be around. I'm really happy with the final contestants, although it was really hard to pick only 18 people from so many great choices.

Today I had the team from Fred Seagal Beauty come do makeovers on these girls and boys and the results were astonishing. They all looked stunning and beautiful and hot! So much fun! I love doing make overs on my friends .I have to do an elimination tomorrow, meaning telling one of the contestants that they have to leave. I am having anxiety and really dreading those moments of all the eliminations. But it's going to be a lot of fun and a these people will get to have a fun experience and I'm happy cause I feel like I've made friends with some of these people already.

Paris seems to think that the future holds marriage and babies for her and Benji, but we're looking forward to seeing what kind of crazy makeovers she's given to the contestants. Hopefully she doesn't make them wear slitty pants. Most of you aren't interested in being her BFF — but will you watch her show?

1more applicants than any show in history??? really? come on....
2The concept of the show is so embarrassing. When i first heard of it I seriously thought it was a joke. If I thought about it I should have known as Paris really doesn't have anything else to offer.
3I want to be as far "apart of it" as I can.

I've read on a few different sites and mags that the auditions turn out for her show was Really pathetic. I think It said that less than 20 people showed up for the auditions that took place in NYC and it was really hard to find people who wanted to be part of the show that were not really bat sh*t crazy insane.
7she's a damn liar. massive my arse. many sites said there were only 20 ppl who showed up, and that they even had to hire actors to be contestants and fake wanting to be friends with her. and i refuse to believe that twat wrote that blog and used big words such as "massive" and "elimination" i mean...really. Who believes she can even spell?
8I had heard there were 40 that showed up to try and be her friend.
Girl is dumb.
9And I would be willing to bet (or at least hope) that most of those who are applying to be on the show just want there 15 minutes of fame, and would want to be anyones friend.

I bet more people applied for Flavor of Love 3 than to be her friend, and I'm pretty confident that more people applied for Survivor, The Apprentice, and American Idol than her lame show.
