As we wrote this morning, Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose has been receiving treatment for an illness in a British hospital for the past nine days. InTouch Weekly is reporting that her sickness came from stepping on a rusty nail at the family's farmhouse in France. Unfortunately, after the wound was left untreated, Lily-Rose developed blood poisoning and her condition rapidly deteriorated, affecting her organs. Thankfully, Depp's rep is now saying that Lily-Rose is doing much better. We are so happy to hear this news, and our thoughts and well wishes continue to be with the family and little Lily-Rose. We are sure that she is getting the best care possible and we sincerely hope this story has a happy ending.

4I stepped on a nail when I was little, it hurt sooo much. Thank god I never got sick from it, but it did ruin my cabbage patch kid running shows. I think that hurt more then the actual hole in my foot, I loved those shoes.

10I got blood poisoning as a kid too. Stepped on something visiting an unlce's farm in Texas.. since it didn't bleed that much I thought I didn't have to tell anyone I got hurt.. since it didn't bleed that much is probably what helped the blood poisioning.
Lily Rose may have done the same thing. kids are funny sometimes. Its not as if a nail went thru her foot and Johnny and Vanessa just shrugged it off. Please!
Glad the lil one is doing better and my heart goes out to Johnny and Vanessa.. nothing is scarier than something happening to your child.

But yes children are incredibly resiliant. Sounds like Lily is a tough girl. How many times have we gotten cut or grazed and cant even remember when or hoe it happened...........
And I am sure Johnny is with Vanessa because she is a lovely womwan. I know it is a gossip site, thats what we are here for but cut the poor woman some slack her baby is in the hospital

I think that she obviously makes Johnny a very very happy man, so for that reason alone I adore her. Anything to make JD happy : ) I love him dearly. I'm glad that Lily-Rose is doing better.
13A tetanus shot only protects against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. If this infection was something else, a tetanus immunization wouldn't have helped.

25Johnny Depp finds ways to stay out of the media so when he actually is there it's something worth it. I'm glad to hear she's getting better and I wish them the best, and to not walk around the house barefoot!

29I don't think the mandatory shots are the same in France as they are here. That is why I think they need to move back to the US.
