Jessica Simpson has been working on her new country album for a while, and now we've got the first taste of her brand new single, "Come on Over." The song debuted yesterday on WQIK in Florida, and so far 60 percent of the listeners like it. Take a listen below, and tell us what you think of "Come on Over" — love it or leave it?

i didnt love it but i liked it was cute, she has nothing on carrie underwood, but still good
1I thought it was pretty good but you're right Pink, she has nothing on Carrie.
2I'm not a fan of country music, but she does have a great voice and can definetely pull this off.
3yuck. I am not a fan of country music. She should stick to selling beauty products and shoes.
4I like it
5its okay for a country song. never will be a carrie but people will buy it
6She sounds great and i also like the song. Way to go JESS!
7Carrie Underwood isn't genuine country either. Both of these girls are pop. And Jessica sounds whiney and screamy as usual.
8i love it!!!!!! soooo soooo cute! Carrie Underwood is not the only country singer ya know.
9i like that you can hear her voice she sounds really pretty, i love country music
10
i just love the way these simpson girls keep reinventing themselves to remain relevant. it's
alright.. don't really have much to say about it. it sounds like typical jess simpson song.
11Not as bad as I thought...but not the best. I wouldn't buy it but I'll listen!
12no carries not the only counrty singer but she is the one around her age to compare her too, im sorry carrie has talent hands down, carrie will be the next faith hill, the whole package the beauty the voice
13It's not what I thought it would be. I like it. I'm a country fan, and I can say that I won't change the station for the first few times this comes on.
YeeHaw!
14Wow, I really like it!
15Er, there's no choice for 'She should quit singing and disappear somewhere'?
16i'm not super into country but it's not a bad song. It is what it is, a sort of cheesy poppy country song.
17It's not bad but it's nothing special either.
18I believe miss Jess may belong in Country Music! I think its a great song, and i will def. buy this CD
19that was fun and different
20I am not a fan of country music so I am indifferent.
21I think she's found her calling! I like it and definitely will buy the album.
22It's not that bad. I'm big into old country music (i.e. Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash) and can't stand contemporary country music, but it doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would.
23I always thought she should have started out with country.
24She should just not sing...ever.
25She is smart because it is country but could also be played on your average pop radio station. The lyrics are a little blah, but overall, I think it is pretty good.
26Lolasvelt I agree! Wish she would quit singing entirely!
27Well I'm not into country music, but for what it is, it's a good song. But I love Jess so I think I might be biased.
28I like the song. I love country music.
29sporky i too love johnny cash
30No choice for Meah? I thought it was decent and if it wasn't Jessica Simpson and some new talent I would consider it. However it is Jessica Simpson so I won't be supporting her by buying it. I just want her to go away. There are loads of people who can sing well, can't she go where they are? Leave the albums to those who can actually perform and entertain. I will say better than I expected but that has more to do with the songwriter than Jessica.
31she's slowly but surely coming back, in her own way...
32This song really isn't country. It's pop with a bit of a twang. Nothing groundbreaking. The music is fantastic but the lyrics are terrible. If she wanted to make a strong beginning as a country artist she should have picked something better than this.
33I don't like Irish country music OR American country music, but this is a great song! Jessica has a fantastic voice. When she first came out in 1999 with the song 'I wanna love you forever', I was blown away by her voice. Reminded me of an early 90's Mariah.
She is a very talented singer. I think her pop albums failed to sell well because she was given the wrong songs to sing. I hope she has success with her country album. She is always being bashed and she doesn't deserve it, she is the talented simpson. Yes, she can't act, but like I said, she has a fantastic voice.
34I dont need to be a country song lover to know that this song sux.
Jessica has such a great voice, I really wish she would start doing something with it. She needs to WOW us and set herself apart from these studio singers.
35I don't think she has the greatest voice...so this country suits her
36I feel kind of bad, I heard it yesterday on QIK and thought it was cute - but did not hear who it was. But then I see today that it is her and suddenly I don't like it. I am predjudice!
Ugh!
37she's no Dolly Parton though
38I like it, I mean it wasn't anything amazing but I think it's fun and I think this is definitely her calling.
39Surprisingly, I liked it. I haven't heard anything really good from her in a while so this was nice
40I agree with BroncosFan. People would give her 150% more credit if this were some brand new up and comer. It'd be a cute and breezy summer song to dance to with girlfriends about summer crushes. I am a country music fan and think this song will do well and Jessica can be very successful in Nashville, if she remains humble about it. She paid her dues in the pop world, but not here.
I think the song is great and wish her luck. Let's hope Ashlee doesn't make a rap album?
41Renees3, ejejej
well im not really into country music but i do like shania twain and carrie underwood.
42I think she's found her niche with country. Go, Jess!
43meh
44meh
45ashlee doing rap music lmfao
46I think everything of Jessica's is lame so you can figure out how I voted.
She's
sounds more like Ashlee here.
Plus, the title makes me think of Aguilera's old song.
47Shania Twain already had a song called "Come On Over" (a whole album, in fact). And I think that Jess is trying too hard to make her voice sound country. The first couple lines made me go, "What did she do to her voice?".
I've never liked her has a singer. I think that she can hit notes, but she either belts too hard or tries to do a baby voice or here she's trying to be twangy. She sounds best when she goes for simple, but that almost never happens. She just tries too hard.
48I'm not a fan of country music but I think this song will do well for her in the genre. I think it's fairly catchy, it's decent.
I honestly think some people are just being harsh and more critical because it's Jessica Simpson. I haven't been a fan of the girl for awhile, but I can give a few props where it's due.
49I'm also more of a Johnny Cash country girl than a new-country girl. So I'm not the best person to opine. However, I think Jess sounds better here than she does in her pop songs.
