Jessica and John continued to look adorable while vacationing in Rome. Jess and Nick took a trip to Tuscany two years ago as a last ditch effort to save their marriage but evidently Italy didn't have the same effect it's having on her and John. There's been lots of flirting, hand-holding, and prolonged eye-gazing. Let's just say it's pretty obvious what's going on here. Here's more about their trip:
Simpson and Mayer were all smiles when they checked into their $2,000-a-night suite at the luxury Hotel De Russie, which is popular with Hollywood stars and royalty. After spending two hours settling in, they emerged hand in hand for a leisurely lunch at Dal Bolognese, a favorite eatery of Tom Cruise.
The couple spent more than two hours noshing on pasta and salad and sipping wine while pouring over guide books.
“They were smiling and laughing and just having a good time,” a waiter tells Usmagazine.com. “There was also a lot of hand holding going on.”
Apparently they continued on to do some shopping where they purchased quite a bit at Fendi. On a side note, Ken must feel so proud of how wonderful Jessica's hair looks these days.

I think it's so weird that she grew up in a minister's home, and now she spends the night with her boyfriend in hotels all over the world. I don't get it. Why make such a big deal out of that whole virginity thing the first time? Is it only necessary to remain a virgin until one's FIRST marriage, and then after that, it's a free for all? I just don't get it.

RCL: Strange, unless you think about how that minister was more than happy to push her into the completely a-moral business she's in now, how he's been whoring both her (and her sister) around for years, how he sits by on set and supervises while she soaps herself up and writhes around on the bonnet of a car, and how he makes comments on how hot she is and how great her boobs are! The question is less "What happened to her?" and more "What happened to him???"
I don't get these two either... maybe I'm overly suspicious of everything the Simpson clan get up to (see above) but I don't buy this pairing as legitimate. Can it really just be a coincidence that i never heard of John Mayer till he got with her? Or that I was thinking Jess was just a dumb, washed up slut till she got with him?

I first saw pics of them together maybe 6-8 months ago and that was definitely the first I heard of him! I'm not even especially clueless when it comes to music stuff but, yeah, to me he is JUST that dude that hangs out with Jessica Simpson.
16John Mayer has always been very low key, that's why a lot of people have never heard of him. He's really really talented and his songs are awesome. It was such a shock to me when I first heard he was dating Jessica. I couldn't think of a more unlikely couple.
But they've grown on me. I like to see happy people.
It bothers me how Jessica and her Dad cast aside their Christian values as soon as fame and fortune came knocking. Maybe I'm being judgemental, though. I've never been tested like that. All I know is that I don't advertise to the four corners of the globe how perfect and Christ-like I am because the Lord knows I'm not. I believe faith is something so private and personal. It bugs me that Jessica and her Dad were Christians when it was convenient for them. Ok, I'm done with the religious talk! Don't want to inadvertently offend anyone.
17These photos are so staged. Nothing about JS is sincere or true. She's whatever seems hip at the time. Her daddy will keep re-inventing her until he makes a hit of her. Why won't she go away?
18Im also surprised about how hes always in the press now yet he was known for his low key atitude. Im not a fan of his music or even the way he looks but I hear hes a gifted artist and hes won alot of awards. What sucks for him is that hes going to be known now as John and Jessica not John the grammy winner.

32I know everyone has their own core values which they stick to and that's great - but in my opinion, I don't see having sex with your partner, within a loving monogamous relationship, the same as sleeping around. We are all a work in progress, doing the best we can at the time, with what we know. I don't think that makes her any less of a Christian. She can define her own relationship with god.

I can't believe how many people can't stand Jessica and call her such horrible names and judge her. She must have been a really bad friend to each of you, you know when you hung out with her and got to know her and her family and when you were with her and Nick when the cameras weren't around. Yeah, that must be it, because you can't have all these assumptions based on the pics posted on a site.

43I can't wait to see how this whole thing plays out. I thought for awhile that she seemed way more into him, but now I don't know what to think. Taking a trip like that together usually is a big step in a relationship. Of course, she's been on the road with him too, but this a little different somehow.
