I know my friends and I would never date other's previous partners and most of the time we wouldn't date someone that we knew had dated a certain person (like the person that seemed to have sex to everyone). But I was always picky anyhow.

anyhow i remember seeing at another sitw or in some magazine where they showed chart connecting any stars that have hooked/been linked to and i think camerin diaz had the most arrows going out and in her name, along with justin timberlake, lindsay lohan, paris hilton, and scarlet johansson.

To be honest, the whole thing is gross for me. Even when I WAS in high school, I dated outside of my school... I don't really want to have every male in speaking range know my relationship/sexual issues and likes/dislikes.

honestly when you really think about it ... who else are these celebrities supposed to date? there is no way for any of us to really understand how hard it must be to get a date. hence, why they date in this little circular unit of friends. agree that it is a bit gross to think about but at the end of the day i believe that the bigger picture for them is that they simply can't go out and date "regular" people.

But I think publicity plays a role in that too..if you are dating a nobody, how likely are you to be on the cover of every magazine out there??? That probably has a lot to do with their choices.

It doesn't surprise me. Celebrities are going to bond with other celebrities,meet other celebrities, work with other celebrities..of course they'll be dating other celebrities too. If a celebrity finds a non-celebrity, or someone who's fame is not yet that high, dating the celebrity and then breaking up makes the non-celebrity more famous-who can then meet more celebrities.

not surprised - it's kind of wierd but I actually have a close group of friends that has done this. I know that sound wierd, but we are all so close that it's really not that wierd that we would date each other. now given, we are all Catholic (and therefore not having sex with each other), so I don't think it's as wierd as all the stars sleeping around with each other...

incest is very bad, while swaping partners is just part of life. i'm sure it happens a lot out here in the "real world," not just in hollywood. the difference is we don't have journalists keeping tabs on our love lives to point out any insider trading.

Sort of reminds me of the part in To Kill A Mockingbird, when the people of town are being described. I cannot remember it exactly however it was along the lines of everyone being related/cousins, so in a way, everyone was married to their cousin.
