New York City's heat wave got even more sweltering as Jessica Simpson strutted around the city in mini jean shorts and high gladiator heels today. Jess had a radiant smile on her face and with a lingerie line coming out, a happy relationship, and new country single who can blame her? No question that Jess is looking hot, and if Tony sees these pictures we are sure he'd fly up north in a New York minute.

19Is that a dig on Nick? I just saw a close up of her and she looks nothing like she did in 2000 when she first started. Anything for a buck since she has had no success in any of her last ventures including all those movies that went to DVD. She has nothing to do with any of her products like the new underwear line. Just because she looks better here, doesn't mean that there's anything to be proud of.

Jessica looks and feels great. ***** And of course that’s a "dig" at Nick. Because Nick is not going anywhere career wise, and his girlfriend has never been famous for anything real. So what. His brother Drew works more than him. And wasn't Nick the better *Supposed* better singer and more? Anyway, maybe Nick is happy being a nobody now along with his nobody girlfriend.
Nick said his CD was coming out in January 2008, then he said it would be out a few months after that, and then Nick gave a third month, saying it would be out during the beginning of summer. Umm, this June 2008 and still no CD. Nick is now saying that his CD will be out in September of 2008.
You know, I honestly don’t think that Nick Lachey has been anywhere near a recording studio last year or this year. I think Nick’s saying all that just to keep his name out in the media here an there. People don’t care to hear about Nick Lachey anymore. Nick’s done, he’s way over.
37Now Jessica may have movies that went to DVD, but what has Nick done movie wise, NOTHING. No one has offered him anything so that he could even practice at his acting abilities. No one is offering to put Nick’s name on any clothing line, shoe line, food & drink advertisement, or cologne line. Nick’s name doesn’t sell for any reason now. Nick made his self look bad by all the numerous wrong choices that he made, so it’s all his fault.
And again, I agree with the majority here. Jessica looks great here. Lately she’s been looking better. She doesn’t need a man by her side constantly. Jessica is young and can still play the field if she wants, until she gets it right and meets the right guy of her choice. Every woman and man does it, and Jessica should be no different. I say be happy for Jessica being happy.

41We all have out favorite acting celebs out there. But they can't do excellent in every movie. Maybe Jessica will get better, or at least enough so more people will like her acting in the future.

43Well, I can certainly agree that she is hotter than 98 degrees. Nick's album after their divorce was so painful and dumb. Hers wasn't great either, but god at least it was better than that. I have no issue with him not being successful, he seems like a nice guy...but really.
I feel like she has always just been on the verge of doing something halfway decent. She could have been successful in pop if she were paired with better artists and producers; her voice and style aren't that bad.
She probably is a terrible actress, I haven't really seen her films, but I could imagine her in some rom-coms, and I actually DID want to see Employee of the Month at some point, though it doesn't look entirely great.
Her shoe line isn't even that terrible, and I know people who own her shoes. The ones she is wearing here are unforgivable though.
She doesn't seem like a bad person, she gets a whole lot of sh*t in the media, and I actually hope she will become more successful. Just don't expect me to buy her crap.
