Britney Spears spent her Tuesday afternoon on Robertson, picking up some items at Lisa Kline, but by night the pop star was back to getting some counseling from her Hollywood mentor, Mel Gibson. She met up with the movie star at an exclusive Beverly Hills cigar club, where they spent a few hours talking before heading their separate ways. The duo have been spending time together for months, from dinners in LA to a weekend on the beach at his Costa Rica compound, and last night's stop was as covert as ever. Sounds like Brit must appreciate the advice, and if he deserves any credit for her improved lifestyle, well, we're all for their ongoing friendship.

7Mel should advise her on how to evade the paps.
8shes looking happier! yay for brit brit
9I like the headband look... it kind of hides how icky her hair is. Always nice to see Britney smile though.
10For some reason I find her and Mel hanging out to be really creepy... like what's the motive.
11In the photo on the left though, with the white headband, she actually doesn't look like total crap.
12The headband is... better... but her hair always looks so nasty. I don't understand why she insists on keeping it so stringy!
13Britney looks cute here. I wish she would brush her hair more often though...
14Hey Pink...love your Spurs spirit! Are you in San Antonio?
15weird combo but sometimes you find friends in unlikely places.
that said- her hair HAS to be long enough by now to take out those horrid extensiosn!
16LMAO pinkprincess! The receding hairline is not good.
17yes iam
18She is looking great and I agree with the freindship in unlikely places, so we should let it be as it is and yes, hopefully we will see her natural hair shortly!
19They're bangin boots LOL
20um, the hair....wtf....I mean come on, does her hair take that long to grow? I know she probably has a sh*tty diet and all but she may need professional help (besides the obvious) with her scalp (trying not laugh as I type this)....At this point, her natural hair should be shoulder length....her weave is like a pigeon nest
21you kind of have to wonder what they talk about though. i can't imagine that they would have too many things in common that they could just aimlessly chit chat...but i guess if he's giving her advice and trying to be supportive then that's what matters right?
22I guess so....
23But its just so freakin odd!
It's like Amy Winehouse and Harrison Ford becoming best friends all of a sudden or something.
HOLLYWIERD!!!!!!!DO DO DO DO DO DO DO DO
24She looks SOOO much better with the headband on. She looks cleaner here and like she cares about how she looks. Earrings are cute, sunglasses aren't too bad, the color of the dress is pretty...I haven't checked to see if she got the gross boots on though...haha
25She looks nice in the pic with the headband
26She looks like a cheap house wife from the suburbs.
27I was thinking today, that perhaps some of Mel's issues might be similar to Brit's. I mean, when he's gone off on those rants about anti semitism etc. Perhaps he's found a way to cope with the issues and is now helping to teach Brit how to cope.
I could be way off in left field, but I just wonder...
And Brit's lookin' better every day in my opinion.
28i think they're doing bible talk or something.... she's gone back to wearing a cross etc.
29I dont think her hanging out with Mel is creepy, I see it as a good thing because if anyone in hollywood knows what its like to fall on your face and get back up its him, he also is a family man and a man of faith.
30I agree CaterpillarGirl.
And yes, the headband helps. I really want to see what her own hair would look like. It'd be SO much better than that nasty ass weave
31Weird pairing, but hey, everybody needs a friend!
32yes italianblonde weird is the word!
