Anne Hathaway was all smiles last night with co-star Steve Carell at the LA premiere of Get Smart, but note that one accessory was missing — her boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. The Daily Mail is reporting that Anne dumped him this weekend because she didn't want his legal troubles to damage her reputation and career. We have a feeling Anne will be better off without Raffaello's sketchy problems, and having funny man Steve Carell as her co-star and new friend is sure to keep her cheered up.

I had read this morning that she'd dumped her boyfriend and I think, if true, she's right - his legal woes reflect poorly on her, since he's known only for being her boyfriend. Four years is a long time, though, hope she gets past it well!

4i saw a preview last night and the movie was hilarious. steve carrell and alan arkin steal the show. even hathaway wasn't as annoying as i thought she would be.
oh and terrence stamp is the bad guy. i love him and i love that he still gets work...
5I don't know what I like her personality as she comes off in the press, but I am happy she finally let him go. I'm sure it was hard after 4 years, but I really think it is best for her and she'll find someone better in the future.
Am I the only one weirded out by the pairing of her with Steve Carrell? The innuendo between them as suggested by the previews just seems odd given that he seems more like her dad than anything.
6good for her - getting rid of him. i think that it's about time that she got rid of him - seeing as how he was probably going to bring her down with him. guilty by association is what they say right? i hope that it doesn't get in the way of all the work that she's doing. i'm sure that we'll just see her throw herself into more work, although i'm not sure that it's possible to do more than she's already doing - with the press for this movie, and still working on Bride Wars or whatever it's called.
7I think she looks too thin as well, she looks better with more meat on her bones, ala mandy moore. Also, I agree that she probably didn't just dump him bc it would be bad for her reputation, she probably realized she can't trust a crook, especially one who mooches off of her as well.
