12Such sad news. RIP George Carlin.
13huge lose! RIP
14How sad what a sad loss for the world of comedy.
15I know every dies sometime but I will always remember and appreciate George Carlin for his humor, intelligence and honesty.
And for making my nephews so happy when he played Mr. Conductor on Shining Time Station aka Thomas the Tank Engine.
He was a great spokesman for Atheists everywhere. Sad loss for mankind period.
16Rufus? From the Bill&Ted movies?
This is so sad! R.I.P.
17I forgot he was from Shining Time Station!
18Aww, RIP George. Truly a comic genius. We were just watching a Simpsons episode with him in it and talking about him. Such a loss.
19oh wow - i didn't even realize that he was 71. such a shame since he had a niche in comedy. condolences to family/friends.
20
so so sad, RIP George........you were truly one of the best!
21
RIP and Godspeed, George. We won't see a talent like you again. Wherever you are, hope you have
enough room for all your STUFF!!!!!
22Oh no, I didn't realize he was in his 70s either! He just seemed age-less, despite the grays. My favorite bit of his is about how he thinks people that wear visors are morons, because who would want to wear half of a f*cking hat? RIP George Carlin!
23I really wanted to type the 7 seven words you can say but I know they would all be $^&*% in the end anyways.
Very sad, he was a funny man with a great spirit.
24He was one of my husband and my favorite comedians, I just wished I had gotten a chance to see him live on stage. He was a very funny, intelligent man R.I.P George, he will be missed.
25So sad! I really, really liked him.
26
So sad.
27One of my all-time favorite comedians; he was a huge influence on me as a teenager. I feel extremely sad. RIP....F*&k!!
28A funny, irreverent comedian that has been a mainstay for many years will be mourned around the world. I personally will miss his style of comedy. I'll pray for his family, friends and fans! I wish love to all.
29I loved his style, he was great. He will be missed.
30I love George does anybody remember him from ShinyTime station?? It was kids show he was the train conductor I remember the day I found out he was comedian with a foul mouth and yet played a grandpa like figure on the show I love the duality and I will miss him!
31Thats really sad to hear
I just watched Cars the other day and I remembered that he was the
voice of the hippie VW wan in the movie.
R.I.P. George Carlin.
32George was not a fan of euphemisms for death.
Saying he "passed away" would not please him.
But, like he said: "We're all f*cked. It helps to remember that."
Oh, also, this "bad language" business on the comments wouldn't have impressed him.
To quote the genius, there are: "Bad thoughts. Bad intentions. And woooords."
33I'm still trying to get over the loss of Jack Lemmon. Now George Carlin? Both were such wonderful gifts to the world.
34He was definitely one of the greatest and will be missed incredibly. A very funny and very intelligent man.
35Ooops! I meant to say Harvey Korman, not Jack Lemmon.
36This man was a comic genius, his humor, wit, and intelligence remain unrivaled today, and in my opinion, will remain that way for years to come. I don't get choked up over any celebrity reports, but this news felt like a punch in the stomach. F#*!
He has brought me laughter for years, even in my darkest moments, reading his books not only made me laugh out loud, but more importantly they made me think, and I cant say that of any other comedian I have seen to date.
The New York Post said it best when they printed 'Laughter dies'.
RIP my man, you were the best at what you did, the ABSOLUTE BEST.
37so terrible. he was my favourite comedian. xox he will be sadly missed.
