Michael Jackson has decided to jump aboard the celebrity clothing line bandwagon, with the help of his buddy Christian Audigier. His designs will be sold exclusively at Kitson this fall, and owner Fraser Ross has already shown his faith saying, "I think people will think it’s hip to wear his line." 28Everyone is going to have a clothing line pretty soon. I purposely do not buy clothes from recording artists or actors/actresses. It is out of control. This is Russell Simmons fault, he started Phat Farm years ago and everyone's been trying their hand at a clothing line ever since. It is ridiculous.
I don't buy their perfumes either. I stick with Givenchy, Calvin Klein, or something from Bath and Body Works.

Jacklyn Smith started her clothing line long before anyone knew who Russel Simmons was. He started his clothing line in 1992. Jacklyn started hers over two decades ago. She's been very successful in that as of 2005 her clothing line had already sold over 40 million articles of clothes, that is huge considering each article costs at least $15.

45I'd def. give it a chance before bashing it. Regardless of what has happened in his personal life, he has amazing talent and creative genius. Why else would he have been nicknamed the King of Pop? I admire his work and contributions to the music industry, and if his clothing line is as imaginative and unique as his music, I think it will be a hit. People would probably buy it right off the rack without knowing that it's Michael's clothing line, and that is the way it should be.
And just because he dresses a certain way that is unappealing to some doesn't mean that he doesn't know how to dress others. I dress pretty much like a slob all the time but my friends love the fashion advice that I give them and always ask me if one thing goes with another.
