It was a family weekend for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in LA. The Garner-Afflecks enjoyed lunch on Saturday before the couple met up with BF Matt and pregnant Luciana for dinner at Nobu in Malibu where the foursome shared a toast to celebrate Ben and Jen's third anniversary on Sunday. Speaking of Mr. Damon, he's looking way better already — amazing what a little change of wardrobe and scenery can do. Fancy dinners with friends are always nice, but Ben also opened up about his time in the Congo and his family. He said:
- On his trip to Congo: “It’s definitely changed me. It’s definitely been a part of… I guess a growing sense that I have a responsibility to do something with my life that’s other than just serving mileage in some way… You have a responsibility to your kid and also a responsibility to the world around you, so all that [is] part of the motivation for doing all this stuff.”
- On life with Jen and Violet: “Things are pretty great. We’re very happy. Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home. I’m at a point now where even… vacation sort of feels a little bit like work. I’d rather just kind of chill and take it easy.”

3I love both of these couples. I have grown head over heels with the new Ben, and Matt is the bomb always. His wife and him are my second fav celeb couple next to #1 Brad & Angie. Matt and Luciana just seem so happy as a family. I love how whereever he goes so does his wife and little girls.

14Maybe Matt is smiling since no one has started any dumb rumors about him breaking up. And maybe Jen and Ben don't smile for cameras cause if they don't, some people will say it is cause they are not happy and of they do, some people will say it is just for show. I don't know if I would be ready to smile and be pleasant to people who are waiting to rip me up either.

20They never look happy. When they are together Ben looks like in his mind, he's a thousand miles away. Jen just looks grumpy all the time and consumed with Violet.
It's really apparent when they are will other couples who are truly happy with eachother, like Matt and his wife.

24They're boring and dull. I beleive they're putting up a front. I think they'll split by the end of this year. Ben always looks grumpy and Mrs. Affleck looks unhappy!
25I like Jen/Ben much more as a couple than Matt and Luciana. I cant see that marriage lasting a lifetime since he married so far down in status. People need to be a little more equal and he married down career wise (shes a barTENDER) education wise and look wise. What he sees in her I'll never understand. I've heard from people who worked with her in SkyBar (not even a nice place I've heard) say she was nothing but a gold digger, who caught him with pregnancy.
26LibraGirl there is a video on x17 (i think) online showing the above pictures in real life and you can see that Ben is not grumpy and Jen is not unhappy! It amazes me how people can make judgments of how people are feeling based on a second frozen in a photograph! Its ridiculous! I bet Lucy and Matt divorce before Jen and Ben. With the rate 50% its pretty safe betting!
27Does anyone else notice that there appears to be a bump on Jennifer Garner? She looks to be about 4 months along and hiding it pretty well. If she wasn't expecting, she wouldn't be wearing such loose clothing. I have not seen her photographed in anything fitting in over a month. Take a look back. I guess it's about that time.

And I doubt they consider their lives or personalities boring. They're just average people! I'm sure if people looked at my life they'd say it (And I) were boring too. However, live it for a day, SEE how boring I am and how "boring" my life is, THEN say that.

I always hated Ben and Jen together, she seems like a big dork drooling to make it A list and they seem to have different ambitions - reminds me of Brad (international focused) and Jen A. (malibu barbie).
I always thought Ben A. would be a great match for Rachel McAdams and/or Liv Tyler - they match better. And considering I matched up 3 of my friends with their spouses, I have a pretty good intuition for these things.

31Matt is trapped with ugly Lucy. Why couldn't he get someone with her own money (so she won't take him to the cleaners) and looks? His GFs before her were so pretty and accomplished in their own right(Winona, Minnie). I guess she can make a good Margarita though!

35d..i...v...o..r...c...e. ben seems to be away more then he is there. congo 3x this year already? plus his movie schedule, political fundraising, celeb charity events, interviews, etc. mix that up with jg's acting projects, her production company she created so she can make her own roles, etc. that's not a marriage, it's a facade.
