Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong had a special guest for lunch yesterday — Kate's mom Goldie Hawn met the inseparable couple at the Ivy by the Shore in Santa Monica. Kate has always said that she admires Goldie and Kurt Russell's long lasting relationship, so mom's opinion must mean a lot and thankfully it sounds like the group had a blast. 8I'm so over Lance. I'm not sure why he's still famous if he's not cycling anymore. Sure, beating cancer was inspiring, but people are doing that every day without all the fanfare. There are also people losing the battle, too.

As for Lance and his battle with cancer. Yes there are people who are winning and losing their battles everyday so he isn't different in that regard. But I won't begrudge him for the fact that he has used his celebrity to raise awareness and millions of dollars for cancer research. Also, there is that whole little, insignifican detail that he went on to win 7 consecutive Tour de France competitions after having testicular, lung and brain cancer. That's pretty impressive.

21I recently read A Lotus Grows in the Mud, Goldie Hawn's autobiography, and I must say, she is one beautiful and wise woman.
Anybody who thinks they know Goldie, should read it, trust me, you will be blown away.
