Madonna and Guy Ritchie continued to put up a united front in NYC over the weekend between spending time with their kids and a trip to the Kabbalah Center. Even though they're not all smiles, Madonna and Guy are determined to show us they're going strong. On the other side, according to Alex Rodriguez's wife's lawyer, she will officially file for divorce this morning and very much blames Madonna for the split. Meanwhile, Madonna herself released this statement to People:
"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study...I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the Internet."
While we may never know what actually went down between the two it's not surprising that Madonna knows how to ignore the rumors about her and also wants to separate herself from the whole mess. Though something tells me we haven't heard the last of any of this.

6well i'm actually very happy to read that statement, cause as you'll see if you re-read any of my posts on pop about the matter - i never thought they were getting divorced (at least not for now). i think that people take a few frows as being the road to separation, and that's not always the case.

11I'm kind of disappointed with Madonna. I know she isn't perfect but at this point in her life at 50 with all the "wisdom" she preaches about I thought she would be far from any home-wrecking scandal. Looking at these pictures I can't help but to think everyone looks miserable.

14You'll see when you're older, that you may have learned a lot, but that doesn't mean you can't/don't have feelings or want to meet other people other than your husband. It is what you do with those feelings that is important. I am sticking with what Madonna says and taking that as truth until some shred of real evidence comes to surface. It must be rough to live in a fishbowl! Good for her for issuing the statement and defending herself.

If I had to guess, I'd say she slept with him. It would not surprise me. She seems totally immersed in this whole Kaballah cult thing.
Cynthia, on the other hand, should have dumped A-Rod the first time he cheated. Now all the dirt will come out just like the Christie Brinkley & Peter Cook divorce.

So yeah, maybe it stemmed from the fact that she was at that baseball game, but maybe it is something more and something did go down between her and A-Rod. A-Rod is a grown man who knows the difference between right and wrong. He should not have gotten married if he couldnt stay faithful. I hate these famous sports figures who think because of who they are, they can screw around behind their wife and expect not to get caught or get forgiven after doing it repeatedly. My only advice is she should have left him the first time he messed around.

24I don't think Madonna is or would fool around with anyone so haphazardly. She's not on my list of people who have my interest, but I pay attention enough to believe she would never put herselfe in a situation where her children, and mostly her old enough daughter would see her mom so hegatively.
