i think that it's ok for her to poke fun at herself because she's really changed. if you look to a little more than a year ago - and see her life now you could almost say that aside from the craziness - she's not that far off. granted she's better now that she's not with k-fed - but it would be great for her to have a nice/healthy relationship.

i can't wait to see what comes of this. i would like to see her climb back up and become what she once was.

From what I've read about the video so far, it doesn't sound to me like she's poking fun at herself...it's more like she's symbolizing how she felt then and now.

It's FAR from "too soon" for her to be making fun of herself, it's TIME for her to make fun of herself. She needs to show that she acknowledges how nuts she was, and that she also acknowledges that her fans know how nuts she was.

I think by her "parodying" her behavior she would go a very long ways to saying "Hey, I was messed up, but I'm better now. I won't get there again."

Look closely and it looks MUCH shorter than her weave. It makes me wonder if that's not HER hair. Maybe they put the weave in just for the shoot and just right BEFORE the shoot only? Just a thought.

Something is off with that make-up. It looks like they put a bunch of white around and under her eyes, to the sides of the nose, and her jaw bone, lightening that tan she is destroying her skin with. With the over bleached hair she just looks way over done.

She should do the VMA's again, because last year's show provided months of entertainment and parodies.

Okay, I'll probably get flack for this but here it goes...doesn't it seem like Madonna only uses "current" people/issue to stay relevant? I mean, back when Britney was still big, she did that whole VMA kiss and then did Britney's video. Next, she uses Justin/Pharrel/Timberland for her new CD because they are the in musicians/producers. She once again uses Britney, even though she is once again in people's minds for everything other than her music. I mean, she didn't necessarily extend a hand out last year or the beginning of this year and all of a sudden she has her do a promo/mini film for her. Kinda of a harsh way to keep yourself relevant for so long if you ask me...and no its not cause of her music, which has sucked hard since "Ray of Light".

I'm not trying to be a bi***, but we all need to remember that we aren't privvy to every single phone call and communication celebrities make. It's very presumptuous to assume that Madonna never called Britney.

Just like it's presumptuous to think that she is or isn't in touch with Adnan. All we know is what we see in the media. We don't know these people or anything about their lives.

I don't see anyone else mentioning whether or not Madonna phoned Britney in the last year. For all we know they had weekly phone sex. The point is that now that Madonna has a tour and record to sell, she invited Britney to be in a video.

Last year when Britney had an album to sell and was filming videos, there was no mention of Madonna offering to be involved.

I swear a saw pics of her from like a day or two ago and her weave looked normal. How the heck did she make it look like that already!?

I NEVER implied that she didn't call, but a phone call is completely irrelevant with the type of issues that Spears was dealing with. My point was of how Madonna attempts to keep herself relevant when she no longer really has anything "groundbreaking" to offer to the music industry. Her music has mostly sucked for a while, her "shocking" stunts are no longer "shocking" (more like desperate), and her "dance moves" are nothing more than yoga moves. For all I now or care, Spears and Madonna are using each other to feel relevant or for shock(less) value; their promo colaboration will most likely be as contrived and groan-inducing as the 2003 MTV stunt.

She looks absolutely MISERABLE in these photos. Also, everytime my phone rings it says It's Britney, b*tch and everyone always turns around to look at me no matter where I'm at. I love that ringtone.
